The Dragons of the Brotherhood - This group is no longer active within the Brotherhood

Foreword
The History of the Long family is not short - a History intertwined with the one of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood itself. Our influence let Kings rise and fall. At times dwindling, at times stronger than ever before. No matter what - the Long family will still exist even if the Dark Jedi Brotherhood were to be put to ashes.

History of the Family
Founded by the eleventh Grand Master of the Brotherhood, Faethor Dejarc, the Longs are a loose fraternity of powerful Elders and promising Equites of the Brotherhood who follow after the legacy of their lord and Patriarch, who was also known as Chi Long, the "Fire Dragon." During the time of his tutelage, Faethor drew to him the most gifted members of the Brotherhood, or those blessed with raw power and innate ability. Some were said to be supreme sorcerers, while others were warriors or bladesmen without peer. Whatever their gifts, the Fire Dragon sought them out, and began training them on a deeper, more ethereal level to harness and expand their gifts.

Among the first of Chi Long's apprentices were Mark of Tarentum, the "Lightning Dragon" Shen Long; Trevarus Caerick of the Sadow, the "Thunder Dragon" Shan Long; Sith Bloodfyre of the Tarentae, the "Ghost Dragon" Gwei Long; and Shaithis Var'rek of Taldryan, the "Stone Dragon" Qiao Long. Others would follow and be drawn in by the Fire Dragon: Cymbre Kall, the "Little Dragon" Xiao Long; Cyrus Oscura, the "Black Dragon" Hei Long; Syn Kaek, the "Hidden Dragon" Xu Long; and Sarin, the "Elder Dragon" Zhang Long. Two others were also drawn to Faethor's powerful Family of Dragons, but turned from the Grand Master's tutelage and were denounced by his Family: Mike Halcyon, the "Energy Dragon" Jin Long; and Pyralis, the "Forest Dragon" Yu Long. Blood Hunts were issued against the two denounced and disavowed, and while Mike Halcyon’s death has been verified, entire Family hunts Pyralis to the present day.

After the disappearance of Chi Long to his wandering and private studies (as such powerful beings often do), the Family was left under the attention of the Eldest Brother at the time, Shan Long. At that juncture, the tenured Dragons were the Thunder Dragon and the Ghost Dragon, and though the personal attention of the Fire Dragon was lost, Trevarus and Sith had learned much from their Grand Master and teacher, and continued to impart their knowledge unto others in the Family. The Dragons soon became a sort of cult following of Shan Long within Naga Sadow, with the Family's Elder Brother Gwei Long drawing away to attend matters in Tarentum, or elsewhere within the Brotherhood as needed within different positions.

While Chi Long was lost, other Family members also drifted away, or perhaps were culled in other conflicts. Hei Long lost contact with his Dragon Family, as did the Little Dragon -- though Xiao Long would make her return again as Cymbre Kall. Qiao Long was said to have drifted away to seek after his wandering teacher, or was perhaps searching for other challengers to his warrior's skills with the lightsaber. Xu Long joined his lord in wandering, but was slain years later in his return to the Brotherhood and Taldryan. Zhang Long drifted away from his ties with the Family after becoming one of the Grand Masters of the Brotherhood, and was culled in battle years later, as well.

During Shan Long’s time as Patriarch of the Family, other Dragons were raised up from among Naga Sadow as children and students of the Thunder Dragon's power: Sildrin Lyonsbane-Hastur, the "Blind Dragon" Xia Long; and Syrus Korodin, the "Frost Dragon" Shuang Long. While the Family was not as prevalent during this time and as widely spread among the Clans of the Brotherhood, it remained a powerful force on some level due to the machinations of Shan Long and his prolific dealings with others among the organization and Clans. However, much as the Founder had drifted away to wander existence on his own, the Thunder Dragon would eventually follow. After Shan Long’s departure (the circumstances of the departure, and the Thunder Dragon's ultimate fate remains a closely guarded Family secret), Xia Long rose to become Matriarch of the Family, as the Ghost Dragon preferred to remain a teacher and warrior of the Family, without being its public voice.

During the tenure of the Blind Dragon as Matriarch, other members of skill and vision have been added. Atra Ventus was named as the "Snow Dragon" Xue Long; and the warrior Saiketsu Sadow was named the "Stone Dragon" Shi Long. Though the reach of the Family of Dragons contracted for a time, the power of the Longs has not, and the Family grows more active in Brotherhood matters to a greater degree. However, as time drew in, and the Brotherhood encountered the Horizons Plague, Chi Long apparently met his ultimate doom in the year 36 ABY, and the Family suffered a terrible loss. The death of the Fire Dragon seemed to weaken the Longs for some time, though their power would return to its previous levels. It eventually became obvious, though, that the death of The Eldest came with more consequences than a temporary dip in the Family essence.

Chi Long’s powers had been holding the enemies of the Family at bay. After Faethor's death, and the Dragons felt their powers renew and revive, other feelings, other nagging thoughts came upon the horizon. In visions that were not initially shared with the rest of the Dragons, Gwei Long witnessed new powers arise. Eldritch beings, of the same kind of power and rage that Chi Long had possessed, sought out contact with the Dragons. Their touch was like fire and ice of extreme temperatures together, as though one might be torn apart in agony, and held together in celestial ecstasy. The Fire Dragon had kept back other hostile entities while his Family was prepared, but in his death was brought forth what could spell doom for his apprentices and posterity.

*[15 ABY] Shan Long’s personality appears the first time.
*[16 ABY] Sith Bloodfyre is named the Ghost Dragon, Gwei Long (sometimes called Gui Long).
*[17 ABY] Chi Long gives Cymbre Kall the name Xiao Long, meaning "Little Dragon."
*[17 ABY] Cyris Oscura becomes Hei Long, the Black Dragon.
*[18 ABY] Sildrin joins the Long Family as Xia Long.
*[30 ABY] Chi Long dies. Xue Long, the Snow Dragon is named.
*[31 ABY] The warrior Saiketsu Sadow is reborn Shi Long.
*[34 ABY] The position of Elder Sibling is reorganized as the Council of the Eldest.
*[34 ABY] Marcus Kiriyu joins as the Deceitful Dragon.

Family Traditions
What It Means To Be A Dragon
Naming Conventions
Under the direction of the Fire Dragon, the initial Dragons were to choose new names for themselves with a one-word calligraphy character, followed by the symbol for "dragon," i.e. 神龍 for Shen Long. There were to be no duplicate names, even if there were multiple calligraphy symbols for the same name. Also, it was decreed by the Fire Dragon that his apprentices would forego the use of any other names, and would simply be known by their Dragon name.

After Chi Long disappeared, though, his eldest and most-trusted apprentices, Shan Long and Gwei Long, decreed the Family might choose to go by other names as they preferred, recognizing the power that one's true name has over them, and as a defense to others potentially gaining a hold over them. The rest of the conventions created by their lord and teacher remained. The language of the Dragons is the preferred form of communication within the Family, though it can take many years of practice to build familiarity with it.

As such, any new members to the Family of Dragons are to pick a name and submit it to their master and Patriarch/Matriarch for approval. Names may be related to them in any way the new Dragon chooses, provided it does not have the same meaning as any present or past Dragons. The only exception, however, is the "meaning" may mimic a past or disavowed Long (i.e. we may have another "Forest Dragon," but not another "Yu Long.")

Family Roles or Status
*Patriarch/Matriarch (present: Sildrin): The head of the family is chosen by right of succession. Each head is allowed to choose their successor. In cases where no succession is clear, the eldest sibling is expected to assume that position, or to recognize an appropriate successor. While the family generally maintains no real assets, only the head is allowed to call for a blood hunt, or to denounce the bonds of another Dragon. Heads are also traditionally given the right to recognize and name new members of the family.<br>
*Elder Brother/Sister (present: Sith, Cymbre, Cyris, Sai, Atra): Elder siblings are generally “above” regular orders from the family head, but are expected to enforce official decisions and decrees of the family head. Additionally, elder siblings have the right to bring new Dragons to the family, though the official naming is to be pronounced by the head. There was previously a recognition of only one elder sibling in the past, but the family has expanded the tradition to honor the core family in such a manner.<br>
*Bearer of Long Shan Zhi (present: Sai): The “bearer of Long Shan Zhi” is considered alternatively a “master warrior” within the family, or the highest-level practitioner of the family fighting arts. It is whispered that, after the death of Faethor, the lightsaber of Chi Long is held by this family member, and used to claim heads in battle in honor of their fallen Lord. It is never spoken of publicly, but “the family fighting art” is simply a method of claiming heads and souls to grow one’s powers, and is steeped heavily in ritual. The teaching of the art is a means of passing on these rituals, though younger Dragons only recognize the combat aspect, initially.

Codes and Practices
*No Dragon will speak ill of another. Though conflicts may press one to face another, it is always in respect.<br>
*No Dragon will permit non-family to assist in combat, or set up an ambush, in times of conflict (i.e. Cyris and Atra would ensure a fair, honorable fight between themselves if their Clans met in war).<br>
*Debate and discussion is encouraged, but the decision of the head means any matter is closed, and such decisions are honored.<br>
*Except in the case of a blood hunt, no Dragon will intentionally kill another. Dragons take each other as honored guests (prisoners) instead. Unsanctioned killing of family warrants an immediate blood hunt on the offender.<br>
*News of a family member to be retrieved is immediately passed along, and all possible attempts to rescue will be made. Family bonds are respected and honored. Lost Dragons must be returned to the coven.<br>
*The “Dragon Thunder Fist” (the Founder's blade) is only held or used by the Bearer of Long Shan Zhi; no other will touch it. If the Bearer should ever fall in combat, their apprentice must take up the blade and honor that traditional role.

Hei Long lost contact with his Dragon Family, as did the Little Dragon -- though Xiao Long would return periodically to commune with the others from time to time.

*Elder Brother/Sister (present: Sith, Cyris, Sai, Atra): Elder siblings are generally “above” regular orders from the family head, but are expected to enforce official decisions and decrees of the family head.

Hei Long lost contact with his Dragon Family, as did the Little Dragon -- though Xiao Long would return periodically to commune with the others from time to time.

Hei Long lost contact with his Dragon Family, as did the Little Dragon -- though Xiao Long would return periodically to commune with the others from time to time.

*Elder Brother/Sister (present: Sith, Cyris, Sai, Atra): Elder siblings are generally “above” regular orders from the family head, but are expected to enforce official decisions and decrees of the family head.

The Beginning
Anga Salinas was born in Babali , the only daughter born to Tau and Kerana Salinas. This is not to say that Anga did not have siblings, but they were all male. Anga’s parents were historians and archaeologists on the planet of Babali, which was the home to one of the Obroan Institute for Archaeology campuses.

From an early age Anga accompanied her parents on digs of ruins throughout the system and she was taught to keep careful notes and sketches of everything she saw. Her brothers followed their parents’ footsteps, with her brother Arepoko finding the ancient ruins of a Jedi temple on their home planet during his tenure as archaeology professor at the Institute.

A New Path
Though she enjoyed archaeology and history, Anga felt that there was ‘more out there’. Anga went to Coruscant where she worked as a weapons manufacturer’s trainee. After a short time working at this tedious job she decided to leave once more.

Eventually, Anga Joined a special branch of the Bureau of Ships and Services known as the “The Gatherers”. As a member of this special group she was able to practice her infiltration skills while tracking down and apprehending individuals who falsified their starships’ transponder codes.

Anga was on duty as an undercover agent when she met a mysterious woman. This woman told Anga about a special society that could teach her many new things and provide her with a meaningful existence. Anga accepted the invitation and made her way to this secret location.

Finding Darkness
Anga arrived at the Shadow Academy with little more than the clothes on her back and a few pictures of her family. Upon her arrival at the Academy it was clear that Anga’s strengths were in the academic areas. She was fairly inept when flying the shuttles or when practicing fighting stances with her fellow students. The only thing remarkable about her athletic abilities was that even though she was an obese woman, Anga was extremely flexible and could do a neat side kick.

The Power of the Dark Side
Upon her graduation from the Shadow Academy Anga was once again approached by the mysterious woman. This woman identified herself as being Sabé, the Quaestor of House Acclivis Draco. This was the home of the Krath within Clan Scholae Palatinae. This woman had felt the Force flowing through Anga, though at that point in time the Force was neutral. The stranger felt that Anga could be molded into a useful part of the Brotherhood, and House Acclivis Draco, thus she extended an invitation to join them. Anga accepted the invitation, determined to make her own path in life.

It did not take long for Anga to feel as if she belonged. With a lot of hard work she was able to get promoted and eventually she was invited to participate in the Master-Student Program with Timbal as her Master. She felt this was a great honor and privilege as he and his fiancé, Alisande Sayeesa also known as Kerridwen (Kerri) Jorddyn , had taken her under their wing and made her feel as though she belonged. They soon became an inseparable threesome.

Timbal and Anga made a great team, winning first place in the Master-Student Competition’s Team Events and with Anga, helped by her Master, placing first in the Master-Student Competition Personal events.

A Time of Upheaval
Tragedy Strikes close to home
A year after joining the Clan, Anga was attending Timbal and Ali’s wedding as a bridesmaid when she received the news that most of her family had perished when their archaeological camp was attacked by raiders. The attackers were looking for artifacts that they could sell in the black market. There was only one survivor, Anga’s youngest brother Aramí.

Cuchulain, the father figure in CSP, helped console her and channel some of the raw fury she had. He and Trev made the decision that having some Clan responsibilities would help her get on with things and keep her mind occupied. This is when Anga became House Envoy.

A New Chapter
Anga flourished in her new position but nothing helped her get through this difficult time as her newfound friendship with Sharad Taldrya Hett, the Obelisk High Commander of the Brotherhood.

Her relationship with the OHC continued to grow until people in the HAD fortress had begun to think that Sharad lived there with them. It came as no surprise when Sharad proposed in the midyear of 17 ABY. Anga accepted his proposal and began planning the wedding.

Soon after accepting Sharad’s proposal Anga felt the need to leave CSP to follow her fiancé into Clan Taldryan. There she was welcomed and assigned to Phoenix Phyle of House Ektrosis. Here she made friends with Lady Alanna Taldrya and Bubbles, two high ranking women who were of strong mind and soft hearts. Even though she began to feel accepted, Anga still had regular contact with the family she’d left behind in CSP. They were all invited to the wedding, which finally took place in late 21 ABY.

The Exodus: Time of Pain, Anger and Confusion
Tragedy hit close to home during the Exodus, when Ali decided to stay behind with some of the others who had been brainwashed by the tyrants.

Timbal had disappeared and left his son to be raised by Saitou, who didn’t know what to do with a child to raise. Anga took time off from her duties in order to help him out as much as possible with frequent visits and constant communication to show her support.

House Ektrosis
Anga took her duties in the Dark Brotherhood very seriously, but was occasionally forced to go on hiatus to search for those who killed her family. She was joined by her brother Arami in this quest.

Her career in Ektrosis was choppy, but when she was present Anga was very active and noticed wherever she went. Clan members generally like her and made her feel welcomed. She was even given the job Battle Team Leader for Hex at one point. This was a position she would only hold for a few weeks as she had gotten news about the whereabouts of the men who killed her family.

Yuuzhan Vong War
After a long absence, during which Anga and Arami found and killed her family’s attackers, she came back just in time to find that the entire system was under attack by fierce invaders known as the Vong.

Anga put all her efforts into helping the Brotherhood defeat the Vong . At one point she even tried to establish diplomatic relations with CSP in order to make sure that all of the Brotherhood forces formed a united front against the enemy. This ideal crumbled when Clan Tarentum and Clan Naga Sadow forces turned their weapons on Taldryan.

After the bitter battle that followed, and the forced retreat, Anga could not believe that the Clans had turned against each other at such a critical time. She began to doubt the survival of the organization as a whole.

Returning Home
As the clans were fleeing from Antei and trying to recoup, Anga felt as though she needed to return to her roots. After much soul searching, and discussions with people who were important to her, Anga finally came to the decision to leave Taldryan and rejoin CSP.

Sharad was not happy with the decision but knew that this was something Anga needed to do. They worked out a schedule that allowed them to spend as much time as possible in each other’s company.

House of the Rising Dragon: Where Perfection Becomes Habit

House Acclivis Draco is one of the three Houses, along with Caliburnus and Dorimad Sol that make up Clan Scholae Palatinae. It was born from a secret report, sent to Palpatine that suggested a merging of the Royal Guard and the Scholae Palatinae warriors. The Emperor's death put paid to any action, but during Clan Scholae's transition from House to Clan, the Consul saw this report and was inspired to create House Acclivis Draco. The House has long been regarded as the elite House, although during these troubling times of rebellion, their position is shaky.
Government &amp; Politics
Society &amp; Culture
The society, and overall culture, of House Acclivis Draco's members and Antenora's inhabitants is an interesting mix of isolationism, from living on a desert planet, and improvisation, from boredom of living on a monotonous desert planet. These traits are shown in the planet's strange sports, pastimes, and holidays.

Sports/Games
House members have adapted sports from nomad tribes, primarily in the Blood Plains region, although some of these games are said to have originated from a scavenging society near the equatorial mountain ranges.

Worm Calling
A pastime originating from the Blood Plains' locals, Worm Calling was originally done by treading along the surface of the sand harshly to catch a worm's attention. Antenora's Dark Jedi, however, attempt to exercise their powers of Animalism by calling worms with the Force. Due to the rarity of sandworms, those with the strongest powers in creature summoning usually win.

The longest known game of Worm Calling was seventy-two days. Both players died from dehydration, despite triggering meditative states to slow down their oxygen and water use.

Holidays
Most holidays that House Acclivis Draco members celebrate are based on those of the planet's indigenous peoples.

Festival of Thirst
Originating from a group of people, who call themselves the Harukar Atereedas, living in the Western Hemisphere near the Cliffs of the Fallen, the Festival of Thirst condemns the planet for not providing them with enough water. However, in places like the Northern Oasis where there is enough water to support the populations, the people celebrate the blessing of water by going without water for three days (some species, due to their biological needs, go for longer to show off).

Military
Brute military force has never been the strong point of the House - most preferring sabotage or intelligence roles; however, with the establishment of Kraken Regiment, this is slowly beginning to change and the House is no longer needing to depend upon the seasoned warriors of Caliburnus or Dorimad Sol.

* 8th Legion: Ifrit
With a fighting force of approximately three thousand, Acclivis Draco houses one of Scholae Palatinae’s regiments, nicknamed “Kraken Regiment.” Along with the entire “Legions of Scholae Palatinae” system, the regiment was established during the reign of Emperor Dakari the Merciless. The regiment is under the direct command and supervision of Acclivis Draco’s current Quaestor. However, Acclivis Draco’s Aedile is generally the one to handle the military because the Quaestor is usually away or too busy to flex the House’s military might.

The regiment is stationed at Amethyst Fortress at the Antenora Military Campus and is easily deployable across the planet. Kraken does not police the general populace, but leaves that to the Antenora Security Bureau and the Dark Jedi.
:Main article: Order of the Dragon
The Quaestor's personal guard of champions and advisers, the Order of the Dragon is a collection of the finest Dark Jedi the House has to offer. The Quaestor, sometimes consulting the Consul or Proconsul, chooses the member that has exhibited the highest quality of work and leadership throughout the month and inducts him/her into the Order as a Third Class member.

In the event that there are not enough Battle Team Leaders to satisfy the number of Commanding Officers of a Legion, the highest ranked Order members will be appointed to the aforementioned post.
House of the Rising Dragon: Where Perfection Becomes Habit

Acclivis Draco (commonly abbreviated HAD) was one of the Houses of Clan Scholae Palatinae along with Caliburnus and Dorimad Sol. During 33 ABY, Grand Master Muz Ashen reorganised all Clans into Houses and all former Houses into Battleteams. Battleteam Acclivis Draco survived for several months before finally being closed after a series of attacks from the local tribes on Antenora crippled the Battleteam.

For a summary of the House, please view Acclivis Draco Prospectus.

History
Creation and pre-Exodus
House Acclivis Draco was created as one of the three Houses of the newly formed Clan Scholae Palatinae. It was named after one of the Emperor’s projects that of a legion of Force-using stormtroopers named the Dragon Guard and never bore fruition due to his unexpected death.

Leading the House into the Brotherhood was Arkane Maithal, its first Quaestor. Regrettably, most pre-exodus records have been lost, but it is known that Acclivis Draco and the Clan performed well in the First Great Jedi War. At the forefront of the House was Drynwyn’s Flame, the elite Battleteam which boasted Cuchulain Darkblade Palpatine, Michael Halcyon and Timbal as members. A healthy rivalry gradually grew between Drynwyn’s Flame and Ebon Cloak, the other House Battle team, a rivalry that was nurtured by the Summit as a means of increasing productivity on both sides. The Clan’s excellent progress was halted and radically reversed when Clan Arcona hatched a plot to destroy Clan Scholae Palatinae. Several notable members of the Clan stood against their leaders, creating a rebellion that Arcona was quick to draw the Star Chamber’s attention to. They immediately intervened, closing down the Clan and shifting House Acclivis Draco and House Dorimad Sol to Clan Arcona, much to the horror of the Palatineans who found themselves at the receiving end of Arcona’s vicious humour. Fortunately, the truth was leaked by a combination of Arconan dissidents and rogue Palatineans and the Star Chamber was forced to repeal their dissolution decree for fear of Arcona being destroyed.
The Clan retreated back to lick its wounds and Acclivis Draco spent time bringing member levels back up and reasserting its dominance over both its dominion and its Clan.
When it was decreed that Houses would be order-specific, Acclivis Draco immediately followed its natural instinct and fully converted to the Krath Order, becoming known for its zealous devotion to academia and sorcery. Under the Quaestorship of Michael Halcyon, Acclivis Draco developed the first Master/Student Program, something that is still in use today.

During the reign of Quaestor Annuvin the House turned its focus to a mythical Lightsaber, Drynwyn's Flame. The Quaestor became obsessed with recovering it and ordered Acclivis Draco to scour the Galaxy for it. However this left the halls of Acclivis Draco empty, apart from one meager Acolyte left to supervise the shadow defence staff. Enemy Clans rejoiced, postulating that if they attacked, the weakened Scholae Palatinae would then fall. They did not account for the Acolyte. J’Lek saw the squadron of enemy fighters and rigged a Lambda-class shuttle to a flight simulator, dramatically boosting its battle capabilities. The enemy’s fate was sealed with the arrival of the Excidium. Acclivis Draco had returned victorious, having relieved the New Republic of the legendary weapon. J’Lek went on to become a successful Quaestor later in his career, having remarkable distinguished himself to the Elders of the Clan.

Exodus
Despite their come-back, the Clan performed badly in the next two Great Jedi Wars leading many to believe that CSP had permanently fallen into mediocrity. The fifth War proved nothing, being simple assaults by mere pirates who were easily repelled. What followed had been brewing for many months. The Dark Jedi Brotherhood had frequently been targeted by Sector Admiral Astatine and the Brotherhood could no longer tolerate persistent intrusion on their way of life. Grand Master Firefox began fomenting a plan to split from the Emperor’s Hammer and a council of seven was convened to discuss ways in which to end their subservience. Problems were intensified after the grievous treatment of a Jedi Hunter from Acclivis Draco, Anga Salinas at the hands of the EH leaders. Enough was enough. The Brotherhood set their plan into motion and suddenly exited EH space, bound for destinations provided by the Seven. Regrettably many of Scholae Palatinae feared the unknown, believing themselves safer from reprisals if they remained within the Strike Fleet. The Palatineans allowed them to leave, preferring to stay their blades than strike their former comrades. All trace of their presence in the Hela system was removed by a systematic barrage from orbit, destroying years of achievement in less than a day.

It came to pass that Cuchulain Darkblade Palpatine, appointed Consul by Firefox was directed to the Cocytus system, charged with seeking out an appropriate home for the Royal Clan. He circled through the system and he named the stellar bodies from the words of an ancient prophet. For House Acclivis Draco, he chose the desert world of Antenora. There, surrounded by primitive human tribes deposited by the Rakata, the House built up their own kingdom, based from Dragons Citadel centered in a small oasis. From there they set about conquering the tribes and brining them firmly under the boot of the Scholae Palatinae. Despite this grand new start, the Clan went through a period of internal unrest, getting through in excess of three Consuls, ProConsuls, not to mention the number of Quaestors and Aediles in a matter of months. This chaos at the top of the Clan reverberated down, leading to a poor showing at the Invasion of Antares, where the army was decimated and valuable equipment either lost or destroyed. This led to serious changes within the structure of the Clan, with many units being disbanded and members redirected to the more valuable areas where more members were needed.
Traditions
* Since the beginning of the Clan, Caliburnus was the stronger of the three Houses, over HAD and Dorimad Sol. As time passed the Krath grew stronger and under J'Lek began to push for control of the Clan. The Krath grew stronger and began to dominate the Clan positions and finally, dominance of HAD over HC was officially grabbed under Cuchulain's reign.
* HAD has since traditionally been considered the strongest of all of CSP's houses, although there have been periods of history in which one house or another has temporarily usurped that honor. However, HAD usually bounces back with a vengeance.
* HAD usually is the source of most fictional work within the Clan, and prides itself on furthering the development aspects of the Clan.

Trivia
* Under the leadership of Mike Halcyon, House Acclivis Draco became the first First Krath House of the Brotherhood.
* This is where the current Master-Student Program, created by Mike Halcyon and now used throughout the Brotherhood, began.
* After Mune resigned from the position of Quaestor, three members were appointed successively: Braecen, Saitou, and Cyris, but none of them were in the post for more than sixteen days.
* At one point, the entire Summit of Acclivis Draco was filled with Krath Priests: Kschamehellan as Quaestor, Mune as Aedile, and Exodius as Rollmaster.
* The traditionally Krath house experienced its first Obelisk Quaestor when Tra'an took control.
* Ood would like to be known as an influential member who deserted the House.
This once was the "intermediate" Phyle of Acclivis Draco. The Dragon Guard battleteam is now closed and mothballed.

History
As the Galactic Empire was reaching its epoch, Emperor Palapatine's paranoia was becoming more distinct. Completion of his Death Star battle station was behind in its construction schedule, and sabotage was always suspected by the aging Sith Lord. In addition, Palpatine feared that an "unknown" presence was just beyond his senses - a presence that he perceived as a prelude to his own destruction.

In response to this, Palpatine delved deeply into his vault of Dark Side tomes, and came across the ancient and mysterious Historicus Tabularium, which included the recipe for the creation of a mutant-legion of force-enhanced super-soldiers - a Human-reptilian hybrid that would blindly obey their creator and protect him with their very lives.

So excited by the prospect of these super-soldiers, the Emperor began investing more of his time in their development than even his mighty Death Star. The project was kept in utter secrecy - even from his most trusted Lord Vader - until the first prototypes were assembled and brought to life.

And thus was created the Dragon Guard. Part living beast, part machine, they were to be the ultimate extension of Palpatine's power and authority, forever standing by his side, and when necessary, to be sent on missions of total annihilation.

Impressive of frame and ferocious to even the most skeptical detractors, the first division of Dragon Guard were released on a distant planet in the Outer Rim, as a test run for the freshly minted warriors.

As high-ranking Imperial handlers were overseeing the progress of the Dragon Guards on the ground, they quickly came to realize that something was terribly wrong. Far from an army of controllable foot soldiers, the Dragon Guard were proving to be little more than "berserkers" - blood-lusting animals that began to turn on each other once they had eradicated nearly the entire population of a rural region, and their Imperial handlers as well.

Enraged by this apparent failure, Palpatine ordered his Death Star to destroy the planet, and all of the Dragon Guard along with it. Thereafter, the Dragon Guard project was terminated, and the Tabularium was relegated to a secure place (though it is said that Palpatine, even on the eve of his inevitable defeat, would pour over its pages in an effort to understand where he had gone wrong).

After Palpatine's death, at the time just before the ultimate collapse of the Galactic Empire, Grand Vizier Sate Pestage, Steward of the Emperor's Personal Archives and a close strategic advisor, made arrangements to deliver the Historicus Tabularium to the vaults of Acclivis Draco of Clan Scholae Palatinae. There, the Krath of Acclivis Draco studied the Tabularium, and discovered the place where Palpatine had erred.

Using new technologies to modify the Dragon Guard recipe, they found that, instead of creating Dragon Guards from scratch, they could inject their existing Dark Jedi ranks with a new serum to increase their powers while, most importantly, maintaining their sanity. Several House Krath volunteered for the procedure, and once done, formed a battleteam phyle to be known as the Dragon Guard, Protectors of the Tabularium, serving in Palpatine's honor.
Traditions
*Since the beginning of the Clan, Caliburnus was the stronger of the three Houses, over HAD and Dorimad Sol. As time passed the Krath grew stronger and under J'Lek began to push for control of the Clan. The Krath grew stronger and began to dominate the Clan positions and finally, dominance of HAD over HC was officially grabbed under Cuchulain's reign.
*HAD has since traditionally been considered the strongest of all of CSP's houses, although there have been periods of history in which one house or another has temporarily usurped that honor. However, HAD usually bounces back with a vengeance.
*HAD usually is the source of most fictional work within the Clan, and prides itself on furthering the development aspects of the Clan.

Trivia
*Under the leadership of Mike Halcyon, House Acclivis Draco became the first First Krath House of the Brotherhood.
*This is where the current Master-Student Program, created by Mike Halcyon and now used throughout the Brotherhood, began.
*After Mune resigned from the position of Quaestor, three members were appointed successively: Braecen, Saitou, and Cyris, but none of them were in the post for more than sixteen days.
*At one point, the entire Summit of Acclivis Draco was filled with Krath Priests: Kschamehellan as Quaestor, Mune as Aedile, and Exodius as Rollmaster.
*The traditionally Krath house experienced its first Obelisk Quaestor when Tra'an took control.
*Ood would like to be known as an influential member who deserted the House.
House Bane was once one of three houses in the newly formed Clan Plagueis. Almost a year after its creation, however, it was closed due to inactivity, and its members were moved to either House Exar Kun or House Satal Keto. It was named after the Sith Lord Darth Bane.

Due to the fact that the house was only open for a short while, it never had a complete history written, nor much of anything else. It is known, though, that the house was based primarily on House Byss, containing much of the same members. When it was closed, members were moved to either of the clan's other two houses.

There was one Battleteam in House Bane, known as Heretics of Bane. While open, it had only one commander, Scorpius.

The Dragons of the Brotherhood
The Long Family is a loose association of powerful Elders and promising Equites of the Brotherhood. Founded by Grand Master Faethor Dejarc, later known as Chi-Long, to offer his tutelage to creative, expansive, and otherwise promising members of the Brotherhood.

Most members of the Long Family exhibit a streak of insanity. This may be blatantly obvious as Chi-Long's own sociopathic outrages, or the disassociative identities observed in Shan Long, or the technological obsessions of Xu-Long.

Chi-Long served as Patriarch for many years. Upon his departure, he left the guidance of his Family to Master Shan-Long. The insane Master continues to seek new Dragons, and preserving the practice of Long Shan Zhi.

Jin-Long, also known as Mike Halcyon defiled the honor of the Family by denouncing the Final Way and the Dark Side, by becoming a member of the Jedi Order once more. Shan Long decreed him Apostate, and a Blood Hunt against him by the entire Family. They seek his destruction ceaselessly.

The Dragons continue to uphold the legacy and teachings of the great Lord Chi-Long, waiting for his return.

;Necromancy: Of the powers available to the practitioners of the Dark Side, this was the one that could send chills through even the blackest of hearts. Through it, Life and Death became servants of the practitioner.

There existed two major paths. The Watchers and the Death Dealers. The Watchers concerned themselves with the soul and the tides of life. The Death Dealers in turn were the warriors and assassins, delivering souls to the afterlife or even the Watchers. Master Zero was the recognized head of the Watchers, while Oberst served as the task master to would be Dealers. Other paths exist, but their numbers were small and their guiding ethos had not yet coalesced.

This page was for those who had earned the status of members of the Inner Order of Tarentum as per the Clan and Order Force Powers guidelines on the Dark Brotherhood website. These members were the eldest, and often the darkest of the Keepers of Tarentum. What separated a Keeper from the rest of Tarentum was unknown outside of the Clan, but it was certain that Oblivion held no secrets to these beings, and could not deny them of its power. The darkest armies of the living and the dead most-often fell under the command of these dire potentates. No powers were as great as those who stood in infamy among this Inner Order within the feared and powerful Clan of Tarentum.
