The forces of House Taldryan have pushed the conquest of Ancient Sith Space harder than most would have imagined. Unexpected triumphs came as surely as surprisingly difficult battles.

Notes from the Aedile's Frontline Journal
If there was ever room for rumor, it would be now. But what I say is true: A Dark Lord has risen from the grave. Even being in the higher echelons of the Equites, I find new strengths in the power of the Dark Side each day. This place, this "Brotherhood," constantly begs for larger and darker forces to compete against.

Yet the power that the Iron Throne possesses roars with great fury. Taldryan faces new enemies on a regular basis. Cast under the will of Grand Master Muz, do we fight for our own or for the ego of a Dark Sorcerer? It becomes to difficult to tell these days. Even now on the edge of this sand stricken waste land of Krayiss II, I can only spare a moment to enter this short log. Perks of being the Aedile, I suppose...

The line in the sand is constantly brushed aside, with a new, bolder stroke cast into the ground ahead of us. My mind and mettle struggle alongside Quaestor Rian. He has learned much in his tenure. He is strong in the face of opposition, and knows how to muster his Brothers and Sisters of the Mighty House Taldryan. Our numbers are fewer this time, but our strength is much grander now. This battle on Krayiss II is coming towards the end, I can feel it... Arcona and Scholae Palatinae won't last this battle.

Taldryan will rise victorious. Mark my words.

An Excerpt from Keirdagh's Personal Journal
Still, I fight. [T]he endless string of seemingly pointless conflicts, have sapped nearly all the will and desire out of me to issue forth with my full vigour for the battle of Ch'hodos. Still though, when Taldryan calls, I have an almost automatic need to respond. My heart, my will, my faith may no longer be in the position that I so often have found it, in full defense of Taldryan’s might and prestige, but today, I will fight. The battle for Ch’hodos looms, and while I have been told we are free of having to once again cross swords with the likes of Arcona, today we instead are faced with a battle against Plagueis, Tarentum, and my old enemy of Naga Sadow.

The Plagueians have been a revelation to me in this most recent conflict. I thought the challenge for supremacy in the Brotherhood would remain as it has been for ages, between Arcona and Taldryan, but there is now a third pretender for Taldryan’s throne. Ah well, heavy lies the crown.

An Excerpt from Nyssa's Personal Journal
Everything changes, and yet nothing is new. As I write this we are en route to Ch'hodos, the third planet in our endeavours. Our new recruits are holding themselves well so far, they have great inspiration to look to - with the likes of the OFH to set them the example, there was never really any doubt that they would do well. But still they have held firmer than I had expected, finally the tide turns. I think the other houses have had some what of a surprise - they had long-since decided that Taldryan was dead, that she would never again attain the lofty heights she once graced, but they are realising now they were wrong. We may still have a long fight in front of us to regain that position of superiority but the fight, at last, is well underway. What they failed to realise was the dedication and the loyalty that Taldryan inspires. All it takes is for her to sound her battlecry and the troops will rally. All it takes is time.

Cotelin's Holocron is a Sith Holocron created by GM Jac Cotelin. After the Zoraan Uprising, and the loss of the Dark Hall, it was apparent that keeping all the teachings of the Brotherhood in one place was extremely unwise. He sought advice and assistance from Thedek, who was already reknowned for his ability to manipulate methods of storing information. With Thedek's guidance, Jac created his own, personal holocron, as a means to store the vast amount of experience and knowledge he had already accumulated.

In the years since, the holocron was passed from Consul to Consul, allowing them to add their own experiences and detail events that have occurred during their reigns. In this way it is ensured that the knowledge of Taldryan and a running historical record of the Brotherhood is preserved and maintained for the generations to come. Almost by accident, this holocron has also captured part of the essence of all who have contributed to it, so keeping the memories of it's creators alive.

When Grand Master Muz Ashen oversaw the reorganization of the great clans into houses, former Consuls of Taldryan came together to decide what to do with the holocron. The debate lasted through the night, and in the end it was decided that the holocron would instead be kept in the Brotherhood's holocron center rather than be left in the care of a house. The opposing side unsuccessfully argued that keeping the holocron on Antei defeated the purpose of the backup record, but were eventually swayed by the argument that it should be kept in the safest possible place.

Cotelin's Holocron is one of the most used holocrons in the center today. Visiting masters are invited to add their thoughts and experiences to the holocron so that despite the Brotherhood's potential decline, our precious teachings would be kept forever.

Properties
The holocron of Wang resembles a four-sided pyramidal Holocron. It was furbished out of a golden material and overseen with Symbols of the Dark Side. It has the phrase "In umbris potestas est" carved on all four sides on it in Aurebesh. Once it is activated its interior starts to glow in a soft rubicund light.

Contents
The contents of Cotelin's Holocron were unique in that the essences, knowledge, and memoirs of several Dark Jedi were stored within. Perfecting the Holocron over a span of years, Jac Cotelin ensured that, no matter what disasters struck, a historical record would remain that could help rebuild and maintain the ways of the Dark Brotherhood. Though initially a personal Holocron of his own knowledge, the artifact was eventually passed down by the Consuls of Clan Taldryan.

Excerpts from Cotelin's Holocron
Jac Cotelin, Grand Master
:"One of the darkest times in Clan Taldryan history. It's not what one would expect me to say of my elevation to the position of Consul in this great Clan. It was however, a promotion that I never sought out, one that I never asked for. In the months leading up to Grand Master Zoraan's mental collapse, there were those in the Brotherhood who had seen the instability forming, and had sought out avenues to limit his excesses. Telaris "Mav" Cantor was one such person. Mav had been a driving force for Taldryan, and indeed the Brotherhood as a whole. He was my friend, my confidant, and he was the same for every person in Clan Taldryan. He had been actively campaigning for Zoraan to resign, a campaign which in hindsight was one full of wisdom and foresight.

:"However when dealing with a mad-man, no amount of practical reasoning would assuage the feeling of betrayal in Grand Master Zoraan. In an act of extreme rage, and petty jealousy Zoraan removed from our Clan one of it's most inspirational and compelling leaders, my friend Mav. Zoraan, his mental faculties already beginning to erode, prone to irrational and frightening outbursts was more than willing to appoint an outsider to lead what he saw as a rebellious Clan Taldryan. It was with a heavy heart that I took over the reigns of Taldryan, to hold in safe keeping the position that Mav had been so amazing at. But more importantly, in order to protect Clan Taldryan from without.

:"Our greatest strength has always been our unity. Unity in the face of adversity, unity against the combined hatred of the rest of the Brotherhood. It was what defined us, it was what made us better. Zoraan thought he could destroy our wills by removing Mav. I viewed it as my duty to defend it, so that no outside influence could seek to undermine what we were: A Brotherhood within a Brotherhood."

Kir Katarn, Prophet
:"Kir's thoughts on the Exodus and what led to it."

Shadow Taldrya, Dark Jedi Master
:"Major achievement during PCON, Shadow recalls the Obelisk of Taldryan crushing the pirates of Coratua V."

Duga Arkarso, Adept
:"The losses suffered at Antei to the Vong. The destruction of most of the Taldryan Fleet, and death of (former) Archanis QUA Crix Madine."

Halcyon Taldrya, Dark Jedi Master
:"Halc, with the task of rebuilding, adds his thoughts on the reclamation of Antei and the death of Sarin leading to Muz becoming GM."

Vodo Biask, Epis
:"Written on the even of Clans being dissolved, a more solemn entry on the Brotherhood's membership dwindling and Taldryan changing."

"While most of the Clans viewed the dissolution of their membership to the status of a House as a major blow, Taldryan had a unique angle on these events. Forged from the strength of Independednt House Ektrosis, Taldryan was by far the youngest of the Clans. Ektrosis had proven long ago that an Independent House could stand against the might of the Clans, and so the reorganisation of the Brotherhood was seen in Taldryan as just that, a reorganisation necessary to ensure the ongoing health of the Brotherhood as a whole, rather than a handicap to the greatness of Taldryan."

History
Beyond the Ashes
For those looking in from the outside, it had perhaps been inevitable. For those caught in the grips of it, it had been one of the most trying and difficult period for the Dark Brotherhood. It was perhaps one of the most terrifying experiences those in the Brotherhood had ever had to deal with.

Grand Master Archibald Zoraan, a man whose power in the force was rivaled by few in the known galaxy had grown insane and unpredictable. As his descent into madness became more apparent, factions within the Brotherhood had sought out the power of the Emperor's Hammer to bring him to heel, and restore order. In the ensuing chaos that followed, Zoraan's insanity exploded forth both figuratively and literally.

With his departure, the Brotherhood was left in a precarious position. Much of the combined knowledge of the Brotherhood had been lost in the departed Grand Master's selfish and reckless destruction of the Dark Hall on Eos, and as the Consul of Clan Taldryan, and a Grand Master in his own right, Jac Ae-Sequira Cotelin knew what his duty was.

Never again would it be a simple matter to destroy the combined knowledge of Dark Brotherhood. He took it upon himself to begin chronicling the history of the Clans, in order to ensure that their legacy would continue unmolested throughout time.

Construction
It was no mean task, the construction of a Holocron, especially one that would need to remain secret. Though Jac was one of the most powerful force users alive, even to him not all mysteries would simply be revealed without proper guidance. Sadly, being a Grand Master the number of people in the Universe who could be expected to teach you anything was not exactly a high number. As such Jac knew he had to seek out one of the most knowledgeable men in the Universe when it came to archiving and storing information, Grand Master Thedek.

With the knowledge of Holocron building and production now known to him, the creation of this Holocron would become one of Jac’s most taxing and time consuming activities. Within this item would need to be stored his own knowledge of the Brotherhood, from the time of his joining until Zoraan’s betrayal. Not only that though, he must need to make this holocron different from others, allowing making sure more than just he would be able to add to its knowledge, forming a truly eternal repository for the knowledge and history of Clan Taldryan and the Dark Brotherhood as a whole.

Memoirs of the Grand Master
The time following Zoraan’s departure was one of uncomfortable peace within the Dark Brotherhood. In order to circumvent the poisonous distrust between the Dark Council and the Clans under Grand Master Chi-Long, there was to be a great gathering of the Clans, with each sending a representative to the Assembly, in order to act as a forum for building trust.

Conflicts and wars would continue unabated throughout the following years. Tensions would grow between the Clans, and between the Dark Brotherhood and her longtime allies in the Imperial Remnant, the Emperor’s Hammer. Cotelin would continue to chronicle the events in the Brotherhood as he witnessed them, adding to his collection as though it were almost a memoir.

Few in the Brotherhood or Clan Taldryan knew of his ongoing efforts to maintain a separate record of their history, to the other Clans it would be expected that it was merely another egomaniacal example of Taldryan’s excess, and to the Dark Council it could have even gone so far as to indicate yet more discord being sown throughout the Brotherhood. Only a select few knew of the Holocron’s construction, let alone its purpose. Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor, Jac’s longtime Proconsul had advocated that Cotelin use the Holocron only for the betterment of the Clan, and damn the Brotherhood as a whole, but Jac knew he could not simply do away with his duty. Fearful that others would feel this way, Cotelin was forced to continue his work in secret.

A Legacy Born
NO TOUCHEY, YACKS WORKING

Overview - Though initially a personal Holocron and an artifact of Taldryan, this changed while Kir Katarn served as Consul, overseeing the devestation caused by the Exodus. Again, the Brotherhood lost much of its history when Eos was abandoned and left to the Emperor's Hammer. Unable to create a Holocron himself, he sought council with Cotelin who agreed to teach Kir to add his own essence to the Holocron.

This became a new legacy of the Consul's of Taldryan. Before resigning their posts, a Consul would add their own essence--all their knowledge about combat, the Force, the Clan, and the Brotherhood to instruct future generations. In this way, the Holocron Taldrya became a living history of the Brotherhood from the point of view of Clan Taldryan.

Fallen Clan
<i>This is not my first dealing with this holocron… in fact; there have been many instances where I have found a certain solace amongst its presence. Though, and for reasons I cannot say, I do feel this may be my last. I can not explain why. Not because I am bound to some ill promise or that I have sworn myself to an oath. Rather, I do not feel I can express in any audible form of what I truly feel… words are meaningless; the force is everything.

Times have changed. The Iron Throne has changed much since I first stepped into this world of dismal obedience and loyalty to the Grand Master. Much like this device before me, my Clan has been the only thing keeping me steady in my sane…

So much has changed. I hear the voices of those familiar by name and those familiar by face echo back at me. Some of their words are encouraging… most, though, are firm in their correction. There is change coming, and somehow I feel my time leading Taldryan will be shorter than I can anticipate. I do not feel weak, but the tides of the force are never wrong…

My Aedile Shaz’air; he longs to be where I am, leading Taldryan. His ambitions are great, but he still has much to learn… he is not foolish enough to dismiss the call of the force, and he knows he will stand in a similar position to where I stand now in the future, leading over Taldryan. But he is still young in both the ways of the force and in Taldryan… many outside of my beloved House Ektrosis do not know Shaz’air or the secret that he carries. There is promise with the Prelate that I cannot deny.

My orders from the Dark Council are harsh, and I feel many will leave Taldryan when the time the Iron Throne will act on their part of these orders. I pray all those who are weak be cast out now. If what I see from these orders is correct, there will no longer be a Consul of Taldryan, rather a Quaestor. The days of Independent House Ektrosis are forgotten by most, but this may be all too quick of a return for some.

Don’t be mistaken, my days are numbered at the helm of Taldryan. Taldryan has a new legacy about to unfold before her… I must go now, and prepare my successor.</i>

Times of Despair
Overview - With the Brotherhood undergoing changes due to a lack of membership, newly appointed Holocron Master (wiki) Benevolent decides to use the Holocron as a tool to record the knowledge of masters of various aspects of the Brotherhood. What began as a personal Holocron of a GM became a Clan Legacy and now resides in the Dark Hall as a powerful collection of Brotherhood knowledge.

Creators
This Holocron was created by Grand Master Jac Cotelin following the events surrounding Grand Master Zoraan's uprising and death; and the destruction of the Dark Hall. The loss of many of Taldryan's early records in the force storms was an impetus for Cotelin to preserve what remained of the Clan's histories for future generations.

Odan-Urr was a being who protected many antiquities in his long life. Before his death at the hands of Exar Kun on Ossus, he created a holocron with information on each of these relics, which were hidden across the Galaxy. This Holocron became known to Odan-Urr as The Holocron of Antiquities. It was not until a young Jedi who, thousands of years later was attempting to rebuild a ravaged Jedi Order, did any indication of the existence of this item even come to light. During the events of the Yuuzhan Vong War when the New Jedi Order re-discovered and founded a new training academy on Ossus, deciphering the clues and finding this mythical Holocron became learning exercise for you Knights in Training. Strangely, a young Jedi Knight named Ji ineptly stumbled across the holocron while trying to escape the ridicule of his peers. Overwhelmed by the power of what he found, he left the Jedi Order and founded his own House--House Odan-Urr.

Though he lacked the knowledge and power to fully access the Holocron, he was able to gain information on a select few of the thousands of artifacts and items contained within the Holocron. In his desire to unlock more secrets he began to ask questions of the Jedi community, and from this alerted the Grand Master's spies about the item's whereabouts. This knowledge led the Grand Master to design and plan the military operation against House Odan-Urr, in a covert attempt to allow the Clans and Houses of the Brotherhood to do the heavy lifting, while he could reap the reward of gaining this new and powerful artifact.

Properties
The Holocron of Antiquities was an ancient holocron that once belonged to the Draethos Jedi Master Odan-Urr. It is of dodecahedral shape and needed, due to its size, to be held in at least two hands. The device’s exterior is glowing light-blue and it contains vast amounts of information in its crystal matrix. The holocron is capable of projecting holograms in a rich shade of different blue tones. The projections of the holocron were normally of a smaller size, but it was also proficient of producing an image large enough to fill a room mere meters in tall and wide.

The content inside the holocron was accessible to any Force-sensitive being, willing to open itself to unveil its conundrums. Despite its ease of access, the Greater the Intelligence and Archeological Instincts the more of its puzzles will be revealed and the consumption of its manifold mysteries might be impossible in a single lifetime.

History
Creation
The great Jedi Master Odan-Urr was a celebrated historian of the Jedi Order, having founded the ancient Great Jedi Library on Ossus and would later become the Keeper of the Chamber of Antiquities. Amongst his strongest passions though, was Odan-Urr's desire to discover, and catalogue the many Jedi and Sith artifacts that he could discover. Through his discovery and study of an ancient Sith Holocron, as well as many Jedi Holocrons in his safe-keeping, Odan-Urr eventually discovered a way to create Holocrons himself. Though he did not widely advertise this area of skill, he viewed it as his ultimate achievement. His species long life had allowed him to live through a great deal of history, and his life long obsession had been cataloguing and protecting that history.

It was this desire that led him to create an until recently, unknown Holocron. Within it was stored not the knowledge of Jedi techniques, or other such data as typically found within these items, but instead was a repository of his knowledge of discovered and as yet undiscovered Force artifacts. He imbued within it, as well as his own personality as the gate-keeper, his notes, thoughts, and information about artifacts. This would make the Holocron almost a treasure map, allowing those who followed behind him in history to continue his search for knowledge throughout the stars.

Death of Odan-Urr
I…am old…evil is loose in the galaxy…and I cannot stop it.

During the time of unrest for the Jedi Order that preceded the Great Sith War Odan-Urr began to experience premonitions of his upcoming death. Given the general unease of the force, combined with the unrest starting to ravage the Order, Odan-Urr knew that his life long project was too great a treasure to be lost to agents of the dark side. It became vital to him that the Holocron of Antiquities not be lost, or worse capture. Though the force had not granted him knowledge of his exact time and place of death, he felt it was only inevitable, so he formulated a plan to protect the Holocron.

Descending into the catacombs beneath the Great Jedi Library, Odan-Urr enveloped the Holocron within a force illusion and laid it to rest. Leaving subtle clues as to how to unearth the Holocron spread throughout the Library and its surrounding area, Odan-Urr felt confident that his creation would be safe, and only found by someone with the desire and respect for ancient artifacts that he himself possessed.

Then the day came, when Exar Kun overheard Odan-Urr speaking of the mysteries within the Dark Holocron. The fallen Jedi confronted the Jedi Master, and Odan-Urr thought his worst fears were realized as Kun began questioning him about a Holocron. Kun did not desire the Holocron of Antiquities however, it's existence still hidden from him, and only focused on unlocking the dark powers within the Dark Holocron. He killed Odan-Urr, stealing the item, never knowing that in doing so, he denied himself a store of even greater riches.

However it was this same defense that Odan-Urr created that nearly doomed his efforts of preserving knowledge throughout time. Whether it was a lack of the proper motivation, or simply being unable to decipher his clues, the Holocron of Antiquities was lost in time. It was not until after the Jedi Order had nearly been completely wiped out of the galaxy that Odan-Urr's dream would be realized.

Re-Discovered
(Summary) Luke Skywalker, in his search for information how to rebuild the Jedi stumbled upon the first of Odan-Urr's clues, and then worked to finding the Holocron, but never did. He used the puzzle as a training exercise on the rebuilt jedi academy on the planet.

Stolen!
(Summary) A Lazy craptastic jedi student at the rebuilt academy of ossus by the name of Ji found the Holocron, but selfishly took it for himself and fled to New Tython where he founded a fake crap house in the Dark Brotherhood.

GJW X
Intelligence reports received by the Iron Throne have piqued the Dark Council's curiosity. As such, the Brotherhood units dispatched to annhiliate the Jedi on New Tython have been tasked to find the artifacts in addition to their primary tactical and strategic goals.

* Circlet of Saresh
The Circlet of Saresh was a headband owned by the Jedi Knight Guun Han Saresh. It was commissioned by his father as a gift for becoming a Jedi Knight and entering the Jedi order. It was constructed in such a way that only one who is a servant of the light side of the force would be able to harness its abilities. This was done as a form of repentance for a family name known for it's arrogance, cruelty, wealth and political influence in the past.

The circlet, when worn, heightened the wearer's abilities in the Force. The articfact was lost when Guun Han was killed and devoured by a terentatek during the his attempt to kill the creature during the Great Hunt. It was later discovered by Revan on his search for the Star Forge during the Jedi Civil War. The artifact was left by Revan before his disappearance to the Unknown Regions, and later found and used by the Jedi Exile during the First Jedi Purge.

Upon defeating Darths Traya, Nihilus, and Sion, the Exile left with the Circlet to the Unknown Regions in search of Revan. The Exile and the Circlet were never heard from or seen again. *all above information found in the SW wiki http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Circlet_of_Saresh *

/Winging it from here/ Jedi Master Odan-Urr had sensed this artifact through the Force and found a way, through meditation, to single out its impression in the Force over great distances throughout the universe. This knowledge of this technique was placed into the holocron in the hopes someone, someday, would find the artifact and put it to use against the foes of the Jedi.
The Chu-Gon Dar cube was created by Jedi Master Chu-Gon Dar thousands of years before the Clone Wars. What made this artifact so special was its transmogrification ability. *writers block has hit, mainly due to lack of sleep...if anyone wants to take a stab at this, go right ahead http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Chu-Gon_Dar_cube * When wielded by a Force-user of sufficient competence, this cube could combine two Force-infused objects into a new Force-infused object, combining the strengths of the two objects. According to legend, a Jedi Master used the Chu-Gon Dar cube to combine a powerful Force Crystal with a piece of the Vor'Na'Tu to create the Eye of the Sun.

* Star Forge Robe
The Star Forge Robes were special Jedi robes that were made in an ancient massive automated Rakata shipyard, the Star Forge. These robes were long, colored sand-brown, and only its chestplate broke the ascetic simplicity. Nonetheless, it gave a Force-sensitive wearer increased wisdom and willpower. Despite the fact that the Star Forge was a powerful tool of the dark side of the Force, only one immersed in the light side was able to wear the robes. In 3,956 BBY, during the final battle of the Jedi Civil War, when Jedi Revan defeated Sith Lord Darth Malak, the Star Forge was destroyed, setting an end to the production of the robes.

//came across it somehow// and stored the location of this artefact, as only a disciple of the Light side of the Force can wear the robe.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Forge_Robe#Scene_1

* Eye of the Sun
The Eye of the Sun was a Force-imbued artifact that was created by a group of Jedi Masters for use during the Ruusan campaign as a defense against the Brotherhood of Darkness. It was later hidden under the Ch'hala Heart tree on Cularin and the Dark Jedi Len Markus tried to find it there in 19 BBY, because if he touched it against the Darkstaff, then the staff would gain enough power to destroy Cularin.
It resembled a rock, but it could glow silver and a large yellow eye could appear on it's surface, if it willed. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Eye_of_the_Sun

*The Uset Crystal Cavern
On a desolate part of the planet Lyran IV can be found the entrance to a cavern. Deep within the cavern is said to be the only known location where Uset crystals can be found. Legend tells that these crystals can be used to create a lightsaber blade that can not be seen by the naked eye.

* Broken Staff of Vodo-Siosk Baas
The simple wooden quarterstaff used by the ancient Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas was a unique artifact, offering more than physical support to the aged Jedi Master. It was approximately one and a half meters in length with one end off the staff wrapped in strips of fabric. In times when the need of combat arose, the Jedi Master was able to imbue the staff with the power of the Force, whereupon the cane served the Krevaaki in lieu of a lightsaber. The Force-augmented staff was also able to transfer tremendous amounts of energy into a chosen target, for example shatter rocks, or off-balance and disarm the Jedi Masters opponents with ease.

The staff was destroyed in the same battle as the former Student of Baas, Exar Kun, killed the Krevaaki with a vicious overhand strike from his double-bladed lightsaber. Vodo-Siosk Baas became one with the Force, while the newly broken staff was abandoned with his garments.

Jedi Master Odan-Urr who had sensed the death of Baas through the Force, found a way, through meditation, to single out where the broken parts of the quarterstaff have been abandoned. This knowledge too was placed into the holocron in the hopes someone, someday, would start searching the artifact and again mend it together to use it against the foes of the Jedi once more.

Blah blah. Ancient Clan, restored after the mandalorian resurgence (because of that one bitch writer). Leader, (main figure), trying to restore the honor of the once great Ordo, but they are seen as a fallen Clan. The other Clans view them with contempt for resurrecting a long-dead noble Clan and don't believe the leader is truly of Ordo blood.

Basically an outcast Clan. They take on more extreme mercenary work than their brethren in an effort to gain notoriety.

Howie stuff that might get deletered:
These Mercenaries are members of a mediocre Mandalorian Clan. Their own brethren do not enjoy them, as they tend to be screw-ups and otherwise useless. The rest of the clan sends these Mercenaries on a would-be suicide mission against overwhelming Dark Jedi odds. Moreover, the Mercenaries are sent to work for Michael Halcyon as further humiliation.

Karufr resides in the Kr'Tal System, which is currently controlled by Clan Taldryan. Karufr is the home planet of Clan Taldryan.

History
Upon entering the Kr'Tal system, the Houses of Clan Taldryan all traveled to the planets they had pre-scouted and planned to occupy. The Clan Summit, with their advisors, assistants, workers, and guards made their way to one of the two remaining planets, Karufr. The planet is mostly ocean; however there are three large landmasses as well. The terrain on each landmass varies slightly. One is quite mountainous, one contains a very large jungle, and the third is made up of mostly plains with a large canyon in the middle.

Continents
Teramon
This is the notorious mountain continent. Karufr is not known for its mineral deposits yet this landmass has many large mines and foundries that roll out the life-blood of the ever-growing industrialization of the Taldryan home world. Two garrisons are manned on this continent as well as large underground training facilities for the Obelisk knights. Auxiliary Sith TIE fighters as well as local miner's guild terra-fighters patrol the skies to ensure that the minerals are safely sent to their destinations. Efforts are underway to rapidly expand and increase the output of the mining industry here.

Thana
Not much is known about this jungle continent. It is the smallest on Karufr and the least populace aside from billions of animal life forms. Thick underbrush and forests prohibit any real exploration or development at the present although a few local shrines operate on the northern shores. Ektrosis has established a small outpost here to investigate local legends and archeological finds here linking Exar Kun to this region.

Karufr
This flat and rolling continent lends its name to the planet. Karufr is the heart of the indigenous population with nearly 75% living in the beautiful cities and villages dotting the landscape. The locals have fertilization techniques that match interstellar standards and can produce astounding amounts of grain and foodstuffs. Idyllic and serene, this continent is where the Taldryan headquarters is located.

Cities
Rarel
This city is the central hub for the mining activity on the Teramon Continent. In the center of Rarel is the processing facility for Axidite, the metal used to form protective coverings and control boxes. The streets are full of cargo trucks delivering loads of the metal to the small star port to be taken to Karufr Calidomar.

Klu Naga
This garrison is located a few miles northwest of the main processing center. A group of six TIE Fighters do flying drills to keep in form while small platoons of soldiers set up on mountain ranges and do sniper practice.

Mei'ntal
This small town is a luxury resort for the social elite and the leaders of Taldryan. A fairly isolated place there are no roads that go in or out of the town with the only way to get there is by ship. The second garrison is located only a mountain top away for security purposes as guests enjoy their time in resorts.

Osterith
The second garrison has the other six TIE Fighters that are kept on standby launch pads as pilots do their training in simulators to be ready to launch for defense of Mei'ntal. A small group of shock troopers do drills in the ranges along with a few Obelisk soldiers from the training facility at Caidon.

Caidon
Located under the mountains of Qu Xil this installation is shut off from the rest of the world by tons of rock and thin layers of un-mined metal. It's here that some of the new Obelisk recruits to Taldryan come to begin their training. In this location they learn the basics of hand to hand combat, wilderness survival and some melee weapons tactics.

Suthist
Location of the small Ektrosis outpost this place is manned by a few Krath Priests and their assistants. They spend their time researching a temple nearby that may be the ruins of ancient Sith Lords. The locals avoid this place because of many stories of those who enter the temple and never return.

Ren Tulzen
This town is lightly populated with natives and few outsiders. This town is secluded by thick jungle with almost no technology that interweaves with life. The natives keep to themselves and avoid all contact with the Krath researchers at Suthist.

Karufr Calidomar
This is the main capital for the Headquarters of Taldryan. Here the ore mined at Teramon is sent to the other planets and ship docks to be used for ship computers. This is the largest city on the planet with merchants and military personnel on leave traveling the sites of statues and the outside of the official headquarters for Taldryan. The city is loaded with hover cars transporting people to numerous cites for shopping and tourism. Here the Consul and Proconsul spend much of their time working towards the betterment of the clan.

Loth Setien
A small farming community filled with agricultural drones and row up row of yellow grains. Here people work with the drones sun up to sun down to provide foodstuffs for their protectors.

Welbutr
This is one of two costal cities that sports vacation harbors for those of middle income. Here anyone can get away for a few hours and enjoy the calm blue waters of Dru'tal.

Karufr Remas
The military star port resides here along with the maintenance for Taldryan's ground mechanical forces like their two Self Propelled Heavy Artillery units and their Mobile Planetary Defense Super Lasers. A few AT-STs and AT-ATs are on station along with twenty of their OOM Combat Series droids. The LAAT's are rotated monthly to and from this port to the capital ships for Taldryan's fleet for special maintenance

Eathsi
A medium sized town with a rental speeder place for the younger population. Fortunately for miles around there's nothing but short grass fields and small hills to provide a form of excitement for those that enjoy high speed riding

Joc'olan
The other farming community on Karufr, this land is cultivated with small bushels for fruits. Small mounds with vegetables are in rows laid along the southern side of the city.

Nas Gral
Along the southern coast these mountains cover every little inch of land. These ranges are barren of any vegetation with rough terrains and high cliffs that make passage difficult.

Forests
Kul Lyn Forest
This is the largest forest on the Thana continent. Both official law and local suspicions about the true contents of the forest keep out residents and travelers. Trees are packed tightly together so that the interior of the forest is dark and traveling to the interior is difficult at best.

Mountain Ranges
Epidome Mountains
In the western regions the Epidome Mountains and they are some of the gentlest sloping ranges possible. Covered in tall grass and soft dirt this is an ideal range to go and relax. Tall and slightly curved trees provide shade against the evening sun as random bushes with wild berries litter the hill sides.

Seas
Sq'Van Sea
Actually the northern ocean of the planet Karufr, it is the deepest and most mysterious waterway. Geological analysis shows this ocean may have been created when a large meteor crashed down on Karufr bringing water crystals and most astoundingly microorganisms to the planet. This theory would corroborate the reason why some trenches here are nearly five kilometers deep. The frigid glaciers here are home to the most prehistoric and monstrous beasts. Navigation is only possible during the four summer months as during the winter and fall seasons the entire area is densely covered in ice caps.

Placiro Sea
The southern Ocean of Karufr, which separates two of the three continents, it is also the most voluminous and abounding with flaura and fauna. Dotting this waterway system are tropical atolls and island getaways that the locals cling to dearly. Truly it is paradise with very few predators and many exotic plants and wildlife to gaze upon. Recently a Taldryan complex has been built on a larger atoll as a resort for the clan's members and a spa for its summit leaders.

Moons
Oteuky
A moon covered more by landmass than ocean Oteuky is considered by many members of Taldryan to be a perfect moon for vacations for the more adventurous type. Mountains scattered on the continents provide wonderful opportunities for rock climbing and the view from the mountaintops are fantastic. Gentle rolling hills accompany grassy plains to allow leisure hikers and outdoors type a relaxing day or two of just sitting out in the sun on soft dirt. Warm temperatures with little humidity and few rainstorms leave the skies clear blue as divers can visit the oceans and lakes to do some scuba diving or just float in the gentle waters.

Amaho
The most unusual of all moons in the Kr'Tal system, Amaho's surface is easily spotted from even a distance due to the ocean's composition. The chemicals Vanadyl, Cobalt, and Vanadium all combine in the waters of this moon to form an almost milky white color. A stark contrast against the blackness of space the moon has one large landmass of a cream colored brown. The mix of these three chemicals has made living on the moon impossible and visiting very rare. Still, the Consul Duga Taldrya Arkarso admired the settings of the moon and ordered that a space station be setup so he can visit and stare out the window at his beloved moon. Still it is one of the greatest mysteries on how those three chemicals could have come to be at the same place. Some think that asteroids may have brought them there while others think that the chemicals may have been dumped there by certain people in power.

Taldryan Headquarters
Information on the Taldryan HQ can be found here

Taldryan Temple
After construction of Taldryan's headquarters was completed, Kir Taldrya Katarn ordered that a temple be constructed in the jungle nearby. The Temple would be the home of Taldryan's Rank Initiation Rituals, mysterious ceremonies that would signify each member's advancement through the Brotherhoods rank hierarchy.

No clear paths led from the Headquarters to the Temple, as if it had been dropped into a clearing in the center of the jungle. The Temple was large, but the surrounding jungle seemed to swallow the structure, making it appear much smaller than it is. Outwardly it did not appear to be an architectural wonder, but rather a very simple stone structure. The real marvel of the Temple was the use of its interior space. There were ten rooms inside the structure. Two were large audience chambers that backed up to each other, and each large chamber had four smaller antechambers. The chambers were lined with different types of stone, and were all designed to be easily modifiable for the many different rituals they would house. All of these rooms were connected by a maze of corridors that were built to confuse Initiates who would travel through them.

The same workers and artisans that had constructed Taldryan's Headquarters had quickly gone to work on the Temple, after a "polite" request from the Consul. They had worked night and day and managed to complete the Temple in record time. The Consul then had the workers move in the many artifacts Taldryan had brought with them when they have fled the Emperor's Hammer territories, as well as the force-enhanced objects that make the many Initiation Rituals possible.

Kir Taldrya Katarn and former Proconsul Sharad Taldrya Hett personally presided over the opening of the Temple, using ancient Sith incantations to ensure its sanctity. Every rank elevation in Taldryan shall now take place inside the Initiation Temple. These rituals are known only to the Consul and the Ritual Master, an elder and respected member of the Clan, as well as those who have gone through them. The Initiation Temple is both feared and admired by the members of Clan Taldryan, who yearn for promotions but fear the mysterious rituals that accompany them.
Clan Taldryan is one of six remaining Dark Jedi Clans within the Brotherhood of Dark Jedi. It currently has three constituent Houses: Archanis, Dinaari and Ektrosis.

For a summary of the clan, see the Clan Taldryan Prospectus.

History
The History of House Ektrosis and the beginnings of Clan Taldryan...

The Emperor had many dark ventures, not all of which were revealed to his advisors. Not even his apprentice Darth Vader knew all of what went on in his Master's mind, nor what thoughts, ideas and creations were born there. One such idea was Ektrosis.

Long before the Rebellion began, the Emperor would regularly vacation on Byss and entertain his closet group of advisors and apprentices. All were brilliant minds who had proven their worth and loyalty to their Master. These beings were all introduced to power and brought into the fold of the Dark Side.

While none were permitted to reach the level of control and understanding of Palpatine himself, they were indeed powerful entities themselves. They were split into specialties dictated by their own natural abilities. Some were instructed in the combat arts and made into Dark Jedi; others became elite Imperial functionaries who traversed the galaxy enforcing the Emperor's will, and still others were put to work researching and experimenting with the 'Science of Darkness'.

Ektrosis was an elite group of these researchers who were given the task of creating methods to feed on and drain the life essence of the Empire's citizenry. They all had an innate curiosity about the effects of the Force on the human body and the galaxy as a whole. This made them the vanguard of the Emperor's plan to squeeze the entire galaxy and every being in it into submission.

The group consisted of scientists who were gifted in the Force, and who were eager to explore as well as experiment with the power and nature of the Force. Ektrosis withdrew into a secret research facility on Byss and worked tirelessly for years, virtually cut off from the rest of the universe. Rumors leaked to the rest of the Emperor's Dark Adepts told of creatures created entirely FROM the Force and beings morphed into atrocious vestiges of their former selves, and finally of techniques for using the Dark Side to drain the essence of beings from their very soul.

Ektrosis gave years of hard work conducting countless experiments, and devoted their lives to their projects. But in the end all they received was censure. This condemnation stemmed from the fact that somewhere in the course of their learning and understanding, they had crossed a line that even the Emperor would not dare approach. For all their work they were banished far from civilization and all they had ever known. There on the fringes of the Empire they continued their work as best as they could, with sub-standard equipment and improvised materials to aid them. The population near their research facility said that the land surrounding their new forced home began to wither and fade. They said that the only things able to survive were those that had been touched by the Force powers that were being experimented with. The only thing known for certain was that the locals never got anywhere near the area.

From 4 ABY onward...
After the defeat of the second Death Star and the death of the Emperor, the Empire struggled to rebuild. Leaders grabbed power only to be assassinated soon thereafter. Warlords and Admirals fought for pieces of the once-might Empire, while the Rebellion ate away at it from the outside. Finally the return of the brilliant Grand Admiral Thrawn brought hope to the remaining Imperial forces. Thrawn wreaked havoc on the newly established 'New Republic', and would have returned the Empire to it's seat of power if he had not been assassinated by his own bodyguard on his flagship.

Once again the remaining Imperial forces were thrust into civil war. Countless leaders carved out their own fiefdoms throughout the Imperial Remnant's territory. One of these leaders was the self-proclaimed Grand Admiral Ronin, who seized control of an experimental super-ship and formed his own fleet, named The Emperor's Hammer. This fleet carved out its own territory near the Minos Cluster and flourished, eventually bringing the Dark Brotherhood out of hiding to join with them.

With its numbers quickly growing, the Dark Brotherhood formed Clans and Houses. Spies employed by the Emperor's former researchers reported the existence of this group of Dark Jedi, and Ektrosis returned from the imposed exile, and joined the Brotherhood, forming House Ektrosis. No one knew from whence they had come, or what had kept them on the edge of the galaxy for so long, or even how they had gained their incredible knowledge of the Dark Side; all of these truths are uncertain. The only ones who know the whole truth are the Ektrosis members themselves, and they are reluctant to divulge the knowledge that they possess.

Ektrosis, now lead by Shaitan, found acceptance in the Dark Brotherhood and flourished. The House gained many new members who were eager to learn its secrets, eventually growing strong enough to evolve into a Clan. Shaitan joined with another powerful Dark Jedi named Jarla to draw up the designs for the future Clan. Ektrosis would become the Krath House of the Clan, but now the fledgling Clan was in need of two more houses to join its fold. The first group to join Ektrosis was a group of fugitives that would become known as Archanis.

History of House Archanis
Archanis started as a group of rogue programmers who carried technological integration beyond the moral means dictated by the Old Republic. Fearing for their lives, they took their research and several of their heavily modified ships and fled, narrowly escaping imprisonment for their work. The group came upon the planet of Dar'Telis I, and decided to make it their new home. Soon after setting up their settlement the group made a most discouraging discovery; the entire planet was covered with ferocious carnivores. The group began to load up their ships to leave only to find that something in the planets atmosphere had eaten away at the Hyperdrive's of their ships, making it impossible for them to flee.

Taking this unfortunate series of circumstances in stride, the group used their technology and innovation to defend their fledgling community. They were shocked with the ease with which they repulsed the creatures, and soon discovered that a strange outside force was assisting them. The group settled into their colony, and several generations passed. The strange force that the original colonists had discovered had been cultivated over time, to the point where the youngest generation could visually enhance their cognitive abilities, allowing them to run faster, see farther, jump higher, and generally enhance their survival skills.

While on a routine patrol, a pilot from the Dark Brotherhood accidentally exited hyperspace in the Dar'Telis system. The pilot was hurriedly attending to his malfunctioning hyperdrive when he felt strange force impulses coming from the planet's surface. He made a log of it and then returned to his patrol, not thinking anything would ever come to it. The Sith High Warrior at the time had his suspicions however, and sent a Modified Dreadnaught to check out the planet. Upon their arrival they discovered the colony, and after a tense initial contact in which fifteen colonists were killed and one Dark Jedi Knight injured, the colonists agreed to join the Brotherhood.

Upon their arrival in Brotherhood space the colonists were examined by the Sith High Warrior who had brought them out of their exile. Interested in their heightened survival instincts and abilities, he gave several of them rudimentary starfighter training and sent them out in a training melee with other Brotherhood pilots. The former colonists quickly mastered the TIEs they were given, showing a natural aptitude for space combat. The High Warrior immediately ordered the rest of the colonists to undergo similar training along with their normal apprentice studies, and they soon formed an elite cadre of Sith pilots. When Clan Taldryan was being formed, soon-to-be Consul Jarla negotiated with the new Sith warriors and arranged for them to join House Ektrosis as the future Clan's Sith house. When they were asked what their House's name would be, the former colonists responded Archanis, which was the name the original outcasts had given for the planet upon which they had been unwittingly exiled. Thus House Ektrosis was joined by House Archanis and Clan Taldryan was nearly complete, the third and final piece would be an Obelisk house the rest of the Brotherhood would grow to fear, Dinaari.

History of House Dinaari
During the war between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance the Galaxy was in turmoil. Lawlessness ruled as the two groups vied for dominance allowing gangsters and assassins to evolve. Unbeknownst to most, societies were formed amongst the bounty hunters and assassins who were in high demand during the war. The strongest of these assassins secretly formed an elite group and became known as Dark Fire. Led by a mysterious man named Dinaari; Dark Fire was soon revered throughout the Galaxy for quickly killing anyone whom they believed deserved it. Dinaari was one of the only leaders that took contracts for the honor alone; he never accepted money from his employers. His deadly followers were all of like minds which made them almost legends to their own kind.

After the destruction of the Empire and the renewed justice imposed by the New Republic many of these societies withered and died becoming mere myth and legend. The followers of Dinaari found fewer and fewer opportunities to practice their art, and left for the Outer Rim in search of new challenges. While traveling far out on the Rim they stumbled upon the ancient Sith planet of Korriban, now inhabited only by strange beasts and vicious storms. While exploring some of the ancient Sith burial chambers, something strange changed the very essence of the Dark Fire members. No one was ever sure how or why, but after they left Korriban, Dinaari and his followers were no longer mere assassins or warriors; they had become receptive to the powers of the Dark Side.

Still not completely understanding their new connection to the Force, Dark Fire went in search of others who could help them harness their powers. Their search finally led them to the planet of Eos and the Dark Brotherhood.

The Brotherhood is not very receptive to newcomers brandishing weapons on the door of the Dark Hall, and Grand Master sent members of his Royal Guard to wipe out the intruding Dark Fire members. The battle raged on the steps of the Dark Hall with both groups losing members, however Dark Fire held its own against the guardsmen. Intrigued by the trespassers, the Grand Master recalled his Guardsmen and summoned the remaining members of Dark Fire into his presence. In front of hundreds in the Dark Hall, the members of Dark Fire laid the bloody body of their leader Dinaari in front of the Grand Master and his Council. The council welcomed Dark Fire into the Brotherhood, and the Dark Fire members vowed they would learn to master their abilities and skills for the honor of the Dark Side. Dinaari's second in command, whose name has been lost to history, stepped forward and accepted the Grand Master's proposal on one condition.

"We will not forget our past as we step into the future. Therefore, we will become known as House Dinaari in tribute to our fallen leader because we hold our loyalty to our own." The Council accepted the terms and merged House Dinaari with House's Ektrosis and Archanis knowing that Dinaari would fit in well with the members of the great Clan Taldryan, little did they know that the combined might of these three Houses would dominate the Brotherhood from that point on.

House Ektrosis remains the Clan's Krath House, joined by the Obelisk House, Dinaari, and the Sith, Archanis. The Clan entered the new Brotherhood as the winner of the Great Jedi War and seeks to keep the reputation Ektrosis held before it. Taldryan remains undefeated in all Great Jedi Wars it has participated in thus far.

Exodus
When the time came for the Dark Brotherhood to break itself away from the oppressive grip of the Emperor's Hammer, Taldryan was ready to lead the way. Taldryan lost virtually no members during the split, and was the first Clan to bounce back from the post-split slump in activity. Today Taldryan again stands strong, with its leadership poised to lead it into victory in all future encounters.

Long after its formation, it was determined that for the good of the Clan, that House Archanis and House Dinaari would be merged into one. This was due to the decreasing number of new Sith members when compared to Obelisk and Krath. The two Houses joined forces and formed a crux of activity that once again dominated both the Obelisk and Sith worlds. Some time later, after the revival of multi-order houses, the combination of large numbers of recruits and an abundance of up and coming leaders allowed the Clan to reopen House Archanis. This makes Clan Taldryan the only current Brotherhood clan to currently support its traditional three houses.

Clan Taldryan, always counted among the strongest Clans in the Brotherhood, continues to operate everyday towards one common goal: eventual domination over all of the other Clans. The Consul and Proconsul are constantly plotting and positioning the Clan to gain any advantage they can over other six other Clans of the Brotherhood, which exist only to eventually serve Taldryan. One day, when it is strong enough, Clan Taldryan's fleet and soldiers will strike out at all of the other Clans and crush them, making them all servants of the Sons of Taldryan. On this day Taldryan will have fulfilled its destiny as the greatest Clan in all of Brotherhood history.

Born of the shadows, our time is now.

Sons & Daughters of Taldryan
In times past the members of Clan Taldryan have been through a great many things that tested their loyalty. Yet there are many who have stuck with the Clan through thick and thin, no matter what. Sons of TaldryanClan Loyalty is something to cherish, for it shows the type of person you truly are, and in the long run defines Taldryan in and of itself. Clan Taldryan has become the most successful Clan in Brotherhood history for one reason...its members. Without the intense loyalty of its members, Taldryan would not be in the place it is today.

To honor those members who have demonstrated their loyalty to Clan Taldryan, the Consul and Proconsul, in consensus with the other Taldrya, can grant to that member the honor of using the Clan name as their own. These members participate in a secret Clan ceremony during which they are bound through the Dark Side to Taldryan. They add "Taldrya" to their name, and are considered an official "Son or Daughter of Taldryan." These members bound to their Clan, and can never transfer to any other Clan as long as they are in the Brotherhood. They are a special order within the Clan, and are highly regarded by everyone in Taldryan.

Hard work and loyalty is what earned these members the right to call themselves Sons & Daughters of Taldryan, if you are a consistently active contributor to the Clan, and stay loyal to Taldryan, you too could find your name on this list one day.

House Ektrosis is one of Clan Taldryan's two constituent Houses. House Ektrosis' history reaches farther back than Taldryan's in all reality. It was from the original House Ektrosis that Clan Taldryan was formed.

History

Ektrosis would become the Krath House of Clan Taldryan.
