=== Early Life ===

Born in secrecy, for fear of her life, to the former Krath High Priestess [[Telona Murrage]] in 13 ABY. Afraid that her child could be used by rival [[Dark Council|Dark Councilors]] against her, Telona entrusted the child's wellbeing to a Loyalist named Gavin Thelin. Born into a nation that only knew how to create and fight wars, Shay was accustomed to the dangers of The Brotherhood and what it entailed for her small family unit. At the age of sixteen, her father was killed in action during [[Tenth Great Jedi War|The Invasion of New Tython]]. Raised in a home in service to the [[Iron Throne]], she enlisted in the wake of her grief to honor her father.

Upon her initial screening, her tests indicated Force affinity. She was whisked from the processing facility to the mysterious moon of Lyspair to a location rumored to be called The [[Shadow Academy]]. She was received by a cloaked individual and led to a lounge to await further instructions. While waiting, she locked eyes with the room's only other occupant - a female [[Krath (order)|Krath]] [[Dark Side Adept|Adept]]. The older woman's hair was bright like fire and her piercing green eyes radiated both concern and intrigue. She introducer herself to young Shay only as Telona. Informing her that she would be responsible for the woman's testing for potential entrance to the Shadow Academy. A myriad of thoughts passed through Shay's mind as the possibilities, but they were soon dashed. She was informed that her powers were only latent and she would not become a Force User. The dream sparked, but crushed, she was sent back to Antei for enrollment into the Military Academy for Officer Candidate School with a recommendation from the Dark Adept Telona Murrage.

=== Military Life ===

Trained at the Military Academy, Shay began to learn a great deal more about the Dark Brotherhood. Her family had shielded her from the greater machinations and horrors perpetuated by the cryptic Force Users throughout her lifetime. Now, the veil drawn back, she could see that her masters were not mere fascinations, but often brutal and greedy sycophants of rival factions. She believed that without the Grand Master's intervention, the rival Clans would tear themselves apart in a desperate bid for power. During her education, she became a powerful voice within her class about the progression of Grand Master's authority within their government. She believed that only a single voice could make important decisions that served the greater good; opposed to the petty arguments and debates that held Clans in thrall of making decisions that were not self-serving or detrimental to the overall Brotherhood.

Her advocacy for the Iron Throne, combined with excellent marks and her latent Force affinity, brought the young Loyalist to the attention of [[Wiki Tribune|Tribune of Holocrons]]. [[Selika Roh]] had been tasked with the reorganization of the Holocron Center in the wake of Antei's destruction. While she did not mind doing the work herself, she soon realized that additions to her staff and auxiliary agents would become necessary. She did not trust the Brotherhood's Force Users to remain partial while scavenging for powerful artifacts and knowledge. To this end, she began to comb through the rosters of Loyalists and Mercenaries in service to the Brotherhood. Selika believed that Shay would be a valuable tool - as far as mundanes were concerned - due to her beliefs about the Grand Master's authority and the off chance she might be able to sense artifacts through her weak connection to the Force.

=== In Service ===

Selika was soon proven correct in her estimation of the woman's worth. Not only had she proven to be an intelligent asset, she utilized her connections with the Army to procure information, transportation, and equipment to further her advancement beyond the other agents in Tribune's employment. In the wake of the Dark Crusade, she would secure numerous items that had been lost or thought irretrievable during the combat. Each of these items was spirited away to the Holocron Center to be catalogued, studied, and stored until it would serve a later purpose. Due to her success, Shay would soon be elevated into the Order of the Soldiers of Fortune; a group created during the reign of Grand Master Chi Long. With greater notoriety came more success as she became the head of the special collections branch of the Holocron Center of the Brotherhood.

== Physical Description ==

Shay is not a beautiful woman. She stands just under average height for a human and has a body type more akin to an adventurer than a soldier or model. Her eyes are a striking, deep blue that is framed by long, straight jet black hair trimmed just below her shoulder. The hair glistens in sunlight and, only then, shows subtle hints of a dark blue color dyed into the woman's hair. To embolden her appearance, Shay often uses gold-orange eye shadow to make her eyes appear more intimidating.

The daughter of a soldier, her gait is often very rigid and precise. While she is not uncoordinated, a casual observer can see her body language bears the mark of a military bearing accustomed to neither slouching or inactivity. Her skin is no longer smooth due to its constant exposure to the outdoor elements and climates in her travels. She does possess a dark tan, though, due to her travels and the frequency in which she works outdoors in brightly lit environments.

=== A Quiet Beginning ===
A normal upstanding citizen of Corellia, Braecen attended the University upon completion of his core curriculum; a feat he achieved at a rapid pace, three years ahead of the standard. During his academic progression the young man encountered a varying degree of topics, paradigms and individuals. Each challenge presented him a chance to prove himself to the people he desired respect from: His parents, teachers, friends and himself. And it was at the pinnacle of his success that he realized how truly far from his path he had truly strayed.

On the day of his graduation from the University, Braecen packed a small bag of his possessions and struck off... alone, in pursuit of something beyond the 'norm'. A basic instict, or urge, forced him to expand his dreams beyond a daily grind. It seemed as if the galaxy itself were forcing him to a larger stage, a destiny of grandeur. And so it was...

Using most of his personal credits the young man ventured from home, leaving behind his two, loving parents and a seamless support network, to answer the unknown pull. As chance would have it, the man found his way aboard an outbound freighter to the Outer Rim. The Captain did not approve of Braecen's reasons for leaving, but he offered the young man an Apprenticeship in Trading.

But the lessons were more encompassing than the monotonous details of rising and falling prices of goods. Their discussions forced them to confront new ideas... and as they proceeded through the mentorship of the younger man, it became apparent a lasting friendship would be forged. And, for that time, it became their existence... enough to appease both men's minds day-in and day-out. But it would not be enough...

=== Revelation ===
It soon became apparent the [[starwars:Corellia|Corellian]] possessed more gifts than his intelligence alone. The Captain, whom now looked upon the young man as a Son, sought to teach him a measure of physical endurance. Each day the young man was forced to complete a rigorous regimen of strenuous activities that would press him beyond his current limits. Upon completion of his work out, he would then be forced to fence, or duel, with his mentor.

The older, more experienced man was able to best the prodigy on sheer talent at first - allowing the physical exhaustion of his Apprentice to be his focal point. But as the younger man's stamina increased, the wily old man began to sit back on strategy and tactics; employing a skill-set that was more comprehensive than most attendees of the Imperial Academy. After several months their blades began to flash in intricate attacks and defenses, both working for an advantage that would never come.

It was one such day that would change the fate of both men. In their morning swordplay the two had become locked into another stalemate; neither wanting to admit defeat, they pressed onward. Braecen strained from the physical and mental exertion focused his mind on a single task: moving the older fighter back onto his heels. What the young man had intended and what had happened were vastly different.

Wanting to use his fighting prowess to defeat the Captain, Braecen strained against a permanent wall in his mind. Using it as support for the task before him... finding his stability from its presence. Yet, suddenly, on this day, the wall came down - a pool of unknown, misunderstood power rushed through his body and broke free from his mind. The telekinetic strike blasted into the mentor's upper-chest and knocked him to the ground. The action left both men stunned...

It was then that both understood their part in the larger picture, they were just pawns of what fate had distributed - placed together a short time so that both might learn more about themselves.

The new power was unnoticed by the crew; however, it was a passenger aboard the ship that felt the change and began to scribe the destiny of the Corellian. The Elder waited until the ship found it's next port before he contacted his liaison upon [[Lyspair]] - with information and direction the man reboarded the ship and asked for transport to an unknown planet called Antei. The Captain was highly suspicious, but the sum the traveler offered was too rich to turn down. The [[starwars:Dark Jedi|Dark Jedi]] won over... dooming the ship and her crew to a horrendous fate. Save one individual, the Corellian whom had forsaken all that he had for all that he could attain.

The shuttle safely reached the first moon of the planet [[Antei]]: [[Lyspair]]. However, the vessel and her occupants would never again leave the system. Each of the crew were pushed into slavery; serving as grunts in the fields of then Head Master, [[Spears|Spears Tarentae]]. At first the Elder wished to kill the ship's Captain, but the drain of [[Fifth Great Jedi War]] was too great to kill skilled pilots or captains - thus his fate was left unknown.

As for the young Corellian... his resistance to the Dark paradigm was futile - his mind's desire to learn reducing his resistance each day, until he became a true Initiate of the Dark Side. Once his ill-conceived notions and idealism were broken down and removed, the naive young lad from Corellia blossomed under the tutelage of the mentors at the [[Shadow Academy]]. With a lust and haste unknown previously, young Braecen satisfied every demand placed before him by his teachers. Only two courses were denied him: The Test of Endurance and The Test of Agility. The young Protector was unsure why he was denied his chance, but believed the Obelisk and Sith denied him due to his acceptance of the Krath doctrine.

=== Physical Description ===
Braecen stands at 5 feet and 11 inches in height. His body is a muscular frame, though not bulging. It is a lean frame that supports his 170 pounds of tense, coiled muscle. He has gathered his strength from continuously training the arts of Dulon as a Guardian to this present day.

He is also responsible for training lightsaber forms upon the moon of Lyspair, as the acting [[Eclectic Pedagogue]], and authority, on the Lightsaber Basics course. Additionally as a Guard Captain and Gladiator of the [[Grand Master's Royal Guard]], his training in armed combat, combat techniques and leadership is a most valuable asset to him during engagements. Most notably is his skill in the art of Echani, awarded and taught to him by the Commander of the Guard, Obelisk Adept Khobai.

His gait is that of cockiness, agility and experience. Within his confident gait he radiates a sense of grace; a grace that is truly a deadly agility and speed, like a panther waiting to strike. He is quick in both motion and mind... His speed is unparalleled by many, matched by few, greater only to a handful. His intelligence gives him a calm and understanding necessary to take advantage of his foes.

A shock of light brown hair displaces his hardened features; it's golden highlights cutting through it irregularly. It frames his face and matches that of his goatee, giving him an older appearance to his 22 years. Though it is in his eyes that one truly sees his age and experience. The piercing, ice blue eyes have a way of searching the very depths of one's being. One look into his knowing eyes could unnerve a Journeyman under the rank of Dark Knight.

A weapon of unknown origin, crafted from the compilation of knowledge held by warrior clans throughout the Outer Rim, the Sonic War Blade has no equal.

Unique in its construction, the serrated blade is comprised of a Cortosis and Durasteel alloy, weaved in the fires of the ancient Sith, which give it uncompromising strength against any other blade, including Lightsabres. Able to parry the Jedi weapon for a vast amount of time, the Sonic War Blade's strength is matched only by its secondary feature.

Knowing how pivotal a strike can be, the forgers embedded a Sonic Compression Device (SCD) into the weapon's hilt base. When activated, this device emanates an instant, powerful blast of sound that is capable of "moving air" in a specifically targeted direction. It has shown immense moving power against opponents who's CON is below 21, allowing the user to move passed an opponent's fallen defenses and enact the serrated blade to rip and tear through flesh.

Due to the nature of the Sonic Compressor, and the need for a warrior to maintain control over their weapon, the Sonic War Blade has also been retro-fitted with a Sonic Resonance Stabilizer (SRS). This stabilizer has an absorption capability that negates the effects of the SCD on the weapon's user, thus, allowing them to maintain positive control of the blade.

Weaknesses: The SCD requires a regeneration period before it can be used again. The duration is unknown, suffice it to say that many warriors have only used it once in combat which dictates a fairly extended period of time.

==Introduction==

The Kaeth are a coven, or family of Force-users whom are dedicated to serving the will of the Dark Side of the Force. Vessels of power and knowledge, collected from a previous Master of the Dark Side, the family acts as stewards to the Force; their allegiance alone to the mystical essence of the galaxy.

Known as the Prefects of Darkness, the members of the Kaeth line can trace their connection with one another to remnants of the Adepts of Byss. Scholae Palatinae, or the Palace Guard, served as the ordained guardians and agents of the Reborn Emperor as he invoked his will upon the Living Force from his new seat of power upon Byss.

Even though Darth Sidious' rule was broken, several of his Adepts escaped destruction with the mighty Scholae Palatinae in tow. It would be through this faction, that an ancient lineage would be reborn and a new Circle of Stewards would rise. The knowledge of Kun would arise in the Clan of Sidious before branching out across the Brotherhood.

==Ancient Beginnings==

===Dark Lord Rising===

Appointed Dark Lord of the Sith by the spirit of Marka Ragnos, Exar Kun would forever break free of his Jedi teachings to create an immense army of darksiders. With his Apprentice, Ulic Qel-Droma, whom had also been appointed by Rangos, the duo began a pronged assault on the galaxy starting at Ossus. There, with the aid of an ancient Sith holocron, the Dark Lord was capable of corrupting the Jedi Knights and young padawans - converting them to the Dark Side. Under his influence, he commanded the newfound army to seek out and kill their Masters. Kun's strategy was to weaken and destabilitize the Jedi Order; crippling the Republic in the process.

It was during this time that many Force-users came to be under the banner of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma. Most prominent amongst those whom converted, or served, were those of Brotherhood of the Sith - a group of Jedi Knights whom broke away from the Jedi Order to study Sith teachings. In addition, the mystical Order of the Krath, from the Empress Teta System, would soon work their way into the ranks of those whom served the new Dark Lord of the Sith; with them, they brought many ancient artifacts and texts from the planet of Onderon. These vessels of the Dark Side would not only bolster the ranks of Exar Kun's military might, but ensure the legacy of his Empire.

Despite his ability to manipulate his peers, claim the holocron of Odan-Urr, create the first double-bladed lightsaber and master ancient techniques of the Sith - chief amongst those techniques the legendary Sith Alchemy - Exar Kun was unable to foresee the eventual redemption of his Apprentice. During the raid on Ossus, Ulic was forced to slay his own brother Cay Qel-Droma. The shock of such an act shook the Dark Side's hold on the man and, in his momentary weakness, he was stripped of the Force permanently. Eventually, he would redeem himself by leading the Republic's forces to the planet of Yavin 4 where Exar Kun would finally be contained from the remainder of the galaxy.

Gambling, using an ancient technique, Exar Kun drained the life from the entire enslaved peoples, known as the Massassi, and drew the power in on himself. His body was lost as his power transcended the physical plain, as he sought to escape an approaching Republic Task Force sent to destroy him. Nomi Sunrider, a prominent antagonist of Exar Kun, discerned what the Dark Lord was attempting and created a Wall of Light about the planet that would forever bind him to a dark, cold temple within Yavin 4's dense jungles. Allowing him to lurk, with his power intact, for many years.

===The Prefects of Darkness===

Though Ulic had been anointed the Apprentice of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Exar Kun had many other tools, or individuals, of the Dark Side at his disposal. By manipulating both the Brotherhood of the Sith and the Krath of the Empress Teta System, he was able to create a Legion of minions to do his bidding and execute his will. Of these, the original twenty whom formed the Brotherhood would be tasked with many important tasks.

After the initial Jedi Knights were trained upon the surface of Yavin 4 at the hands of Kun himself, they were sent out to locate and destroy their Masters. Largely, the task was successful and it sowed further distress and fear amongst those in the Jedi Order. Those whom did not succeed in their task were dismissed, slain or fearful of the new Dark Lord's wrath. For those whom found success in slaying a Master, Kun embraced as his own, indoctrinating them as his Adepts: Stewards of the Dark Lord of the Sith. They would act at his discretion, included in his council and direct pupils of his awe inspiring power and the lost techniques of the Sith.

The loss of Masters and the disarray the Jedi Order was tossed into only enabled Kun to bring more of the Order to his side in a stirring, emotional speech upon the surface of Ossus. Fearful that the Jedi Order had lost its power, or discarded powerful techniques, they sought out the Dark Lord. These new initiates would, however, need instruction and mentorship; thus, Kun tasked his most powerful Adepts to the task. Allowing them to indoctrinate the ever increasing numbers of the Brotherhood of the Sith. Kun dismissed the legitimacy of their power, knowing that he could overcome any coup that might form through the academy. Instead, he directed their training and studies to those appropriate for warriors and field commanders; as he would utilize this new force of acolytes in his ever expanding army.

However, before his dream could be realized, Ulic Qel-Droma turned against Exar Kun. The Prefects, or Chosen Stewards, could feel an enormous wave of Dark Side energy sweep over the planet, draining the life force of those unable to shield themselves. The Adepts were caught up in the ecstacy of their Master's power and were soon lost in the tide of energy expanding outward before they clashed against a mighty wall of light. The connection between Exar Kun and the Adepts was broken, allowing them their consciousness to return to their mortal bodies.

Many would be caught in a systematic search of the dense jungles; however, one would escape to the planet of Korriban to establish a new Academy. A second would shake lose of the Light Side snare and escape to a desolate planet known as Ambria where he would encounter a Gen'dai whom he would impart his knowledge on.

===Parlon Kaeth===

A Gen'dai named Parlon Kaeth would assume the mantle, and teachings, of the Prefects of Darkness, forging himself into a powerful Dark Side Master. As the de facto Heir of the knowledge of Exar Kun, he would become a mighty vessel of power, yet he would not seek to claim the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith as his own. Though his mentor, one of the two former Kunian Adepts, had sought to instruct him on the nature of the Force, he had never prepared his pupil what to do when he had harnessed his full potential.

For nearly a millennium, the Gen'dai would prey upon Ambria and its few scant settlers. At times he would interact with the populace, hoping a Force-sensitive individual would present themselves as a prospective pupil for his knowledge. Other days, he would scout the varying civilians before sneaking back under the veil of night to steal away people for experimental Sith Alchemy. Though his final interaction came in the twilight of his life, when he openly challenged a small encampment, slaying the entire populace: men, women and children. After this display of power, he would retreat into the wilds to prepare his knowledge for the next of his lineage - the next Steward.

Relying on tidbits of stories and remnants of what his Mentor had shared with him, Kaeth discerned that he, like his Master, would serve the ebb of the Dark Side; he would act as a steward of the terrible powers he possessed until one whom was worthy stepped forward to claim the mantle. With this task in mind, the Gen'dai used powerful nexuses of energy to craft a holocron in which he could store his infinite theories and techniques. And, for seven years, he filled the holocron with second-hand instruction from Exar Kun. Shortly thereafter the Krath set off for Yavin 4, hoping the Spirit of Kun would come to him as it had his predecessors. Unfortunately, the spirit had been vanquished by the students of Luke Skywalker's Praxeum years earlier... leaving the Corellian to search through the rubble for answers to his questions.

For weeks the Krath communed with the holocron until it became apparent that one man would not be enough to empower a new Empire, under the Grand Masters of Antei, to bring about Order for a new Darth. Unsure of whom to trust, the newly minted Kaeth sought out trusted allies and former Apprentices... slowly increasing the numbers of the circle.

===Fealty to One===

Meticulously, the Krath would beging selecting champions for his new cause. With great trust, and faith in their ability, Braecen would invite two of his former Apprentices - Yzarc and Rilkel - to take on the mantle of Prefect. Eager for knowledge and power, not thinking of the long-term consequences, both swore to uphold the tenants of the Kaeth Line: service to the Dark Lord. Now, with the name in circulation, other Dark Jedi began to show signs of curiosity and intrigue with the Pontifex's small circle of followers. Joining in rapid succession to the Kaeth line, with invites from the trio previous, were Consul Emeritus Dakari, Quaestor of Caliburnus Rasilvenaira and Proconsul of Scholae Palatinae, Lucien.

With their ranks bolstered and power assured - branching across two Clans - the small group of practitioners traveled before the Grand Master of the Brotherhood, Darth Sarin, swearing their fealty to the Iron Throne. They presented the artifacts of Parlon Kaeth, reciting his fascinating tale to the ever attentive Dark Lord of the Sith. Sarin, his thoughts guarded, heard their plea to serve the Dark Brotherhood, but sent them away so that he could deliberate on all that he heard. The Kaeth are a coven, or family of Force-users whom are dedicated to serving the will of the Dark Side of the Force. Vessels of power and knowledge, collected from a previous Master of the Dark Side, the family acts as stewards to the Force; their allegiance alone to the mystical essence of the galaxy.

Known as the Prefects of Darkness, the members of the Kaeth line can trace their connection with one another to remnants of the Adepts of Byss. Scholae Palatinae, or the Palace Guard, served as the ordained guardians and agents of the Reborn Emperor as he invoked his will upon the Living Force from his new seat of power upon Byss.

Even though Darth Sidious' rule was broken, several of his Adepts escaped destruction with the mighty Scholae Palatinae in tow. It would be through this faction, that an ancient lineage would be reborn and a new Circle of Stewards would rise. The knowledge of Kun would arise in the Clan of Sidious before branching out across the Brotherhood.

==Ancient Beginnings==

===Dark Lord Rising===

Appointed Dark Lord of the Sith by the spirit of Marka Ragnos, Exar Kun would forever break free of his Jedi teachings to create an immense army of Dark Siders. With his Apprentice, Ulic Qel-Droma, whom had also been appointed by Rangos, the duo began a pronged assault on the galaxy starting at Ossus. There, with the aid of an ancient Sith holocron, the Dark Lord was capable of corrupting the Jedi Knights and young padawans - converting them to the Dark Side. Under his influence, he commanded the newfound army to seek out and kill their Masters. Kun's strategy was to weaken and destabilitize the Jedi Order; crippling the Republic in the process.

It was during this time that many Force-users came to be under the banner of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma. Most prominent amongst those whom converted, or served, were those of Brotherhood of the Sith - a group of Jedi Knights whom broke away from the Jedi Order to study Sith teachings. In addition, the mystical Order of the Krath, from the Empress Teta System, would soon work their way into the ranks of those whom served the new Dark Lord of the Sith; with them, they brought many ancient artifacts and texts from the planet of Onderon. These vessels of the Dark Side would not only bolster the ranks of Exar Kun's military might, but ensure the legacy of his Empire.

Despite his ability to manipulate his peers, claim the holocron of Odan-Urr, create the first double-bladed lightsaber and master ancient techniques of the Sith - chief amongst those techniques the legendary Sith Alchemy - Exar Kun was unable to forsee the eventual redemption of his Apprentice. During the raid on Ossus, Ulic was forced to slay his own brother Cay Qel-Droma. The shock of such an act shook the Dark Side's hold on the man and, in his momentary weakness, he was stripped of the Force permanently. Eventually, he would redeem himself by leading the Republic's forces to the planet of Yavin 4 where Exar Kun would finally be contained from the remainder of the galaxy.

Gambling, using an ancient technique, Exar Kun drained the life from the entire enslaved peoples, known as the Massassi, and drew the power in on himself. His body was lost as his power transcended the physical plain, as he sought to escape an approaching Republic Task Force sent to destroy him. Nomi Sunrider, a prominent antagonist of Exar Kun, discerned what the Dark Lord was attempting and created a Wall of Light about the planet that would forever bind him to a dark, cold temple within Yavin 4's dense jungles. Allowing him to lurk, with his power intact, for many years.

Though Ulic had been annointed the Apprentice of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Exar Kun had many other tools, or individuals, of the Dark Side at his disposal. By manipulating both the Brotherhood of the Sith and the Krath of the Empress Teta System, he was able to create a Legion of minions to do his bidding and execute his will. Of these, the original twenty whom formed the Brotherhood would be tasked with many important tasks.

After the initial Jedi Knights were trained upon the surface of Yavin 4 at the hands of Kun himself, they were sent out to locate and destroy their Masters. Largely, the task was successful and it sowed further distress and fear amongst those in the Jedi Order. Those whom did not succeed in their task were dismissed, slain or fearful of the new Dark Lord's wrath. For those whom found success in slaying a Master, Kun embraced as his own, indoctrinating them as his Adepts: Stewards of the Dark Lord of the Sith. They would act at his discretion, included in his council and direct pupils of his awe inspiring power and the lost techniques of the Sith.

The loss of Masters and the disarray the Jedi Order was tossed into only enabled Kun to bring more of the Order to his side in a stirring, emotional speech upon the surface of Ossus. Fearful that the Jedi Order had lost its power, or discarded powerful techniques, they sought out the Dark Lord. These new initiates would, however, need instruction and mentorship; thus, Kun tasked his most powerful Adepts to the task. Allowing them to indoctrinate the ever increasing numbers of the Brotherhood of the Sith. Kun dismissed the legitimacy of their power, knowing that he could overcome any coup that might form through the academy. Instead, he directed their training and studies to those appropriate for warriors and field commanders; as he would utilize this new force of acolytes in his ever expanding army.

However, before his dream could be realized, Ulic Qel-Droma turned against Exar Kun. The Prefects, or Chosen Stewards, could feel an enormous wave of Dark Side energy sweep over the planet, draining the life force of those unable to shield themselves. The Adepts were caught up in the ecstacy of their Master's power and were soon lost in the tide of energy expanding outward before they clashed against a mighty wall of light. The connection between Exar Kun and the Adepts was broken, allowing them their consciousness to return to their mortal bodies.

Many would be caught in a systematic search of the dense jungles; however, one would escape to the planet of Korriban to establish a new Academy. A second would shake lose of the Light Side snare and escape to a desolate planet known as Ambria where he would encounter a Gen'dai whom he would impart his knowledge on.

===Parlon Kaeth===

A Gen'dai named Parlon Kaeth would assume the mantle, and teachings, of the Prefects of Darkness, forging himself into a powerful Dark Side Master. As the de facto Heir of the knowledge of Exar Kun, he would become a mighty vessel of power, yet he would not seek to claim the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith as his own. Though his mentor, one of the two former Kunian Adepts, had sought to instruct him on the nature of the Force, he had never prepared his pupil what to do when he had harnessed his full potential.

For nearly a millenium, the Gen'dai would prey upon Ambria and its few scant settlers. At times he would interact with the populace, hoping a Force-sensitive individual would present themselves as a prospective pupil for his knowledge. Other days, he would scout the varying civilians before sneaking back under the veil of night to steal away people for experimental Sith Alchemy. Though his final interaction came in the twilight of his life, when he openly challenged a small encampment, slaying the entire populace: men, women and children. After this display of power, he would retreat into the wilds to prepare his knowledge for the next of his lineage - the next Steward.

The Royal Clan finds itself nestled deep within the planetary system of Cocytus under the white star, Imperius. The size of the star is an estimated 1.4 million kilometers in diameter and provides the necessary warmth and illumination to sustain life on four orbiting planets: Judecca, Antenora, Caina and Ptolomea. Each planet is fundamentally different, but all of which are capable of sustaining life; however, the amount of denizens each can support is based on individual climate and resources.

The Wards of Clan Scholae Palatinae are a group of members with specialties in a specific field. Established by [[Braecen Kaeth]], the primary functions of the Wards are to work alongside the [[Clan Summit]] to assist CSP in their mission of advanced mentorship.

==Fictional Background==

The origin of the Wards pre-date Great Jedi War 8: Incursion. The plan was to assign trusted advisors to oversee the security and prosperity of [[Judecca]], assigning each one to a compass point. Thus Guardians, or overseers, were appointed to the far North, South, East and West.

However, as the War within the Antei System went awry, the majority of the Cocytus System was captured and over-run by the Yuuzhan Vong - including Judecca. The decision to empower these individuals during a time of war seemed impractical, leading to a delay in orders. While the Reclamation Campaign was brutal, even savage, upon the Royal Clan, the first of the Wards were appointed for their valour and service unto the Clan: Cethgus (North), Xen (East), Niemand (West) and Impetus (South). Despite the fact that Niemand was killed in the Great Jedi War, the Master re-appeared as a Force Apparition to fulfill his duty as Ward of the West - instilling his wisdom until such a time the spirit could find a new, suitable host.

Reclamation was far more successful than the War, and Judecca was reclaimed. However, two of the positions were soon vacated for various reasons. With Ward of the East [[Xen'Mordin Vismorsus]] leaving Scholae Palatinae to study abroad, a replacement was swiftly appointed in the form of the tenacious, skillful fighter, [[Kat Pridemore]]. Released from service, so that he may further serve the will of House Caliburnus, Cethgus stepped down from his position as a Ward. Thus, creating a vacuum to be filled.

In addition, prospective Ward of the South [[Impetus Korin]] suffered lethal injuries towards the closing of the war. Unable to perform her basic duties - given that she could neither walk or remain conscious in this time atemporary assisstant was appointed in the form of [[Xathia dan Locut'Hal]] to faciliate the inabilities of the current Ward.

From then on, the Wards vowed to oversee the safety and prosperity of their given appointments upon Judecca's surface.

The Kaeth are a coven, or family of Force-users whom are dedicated to serving the will of the Dark Side of the Force. Vessels of power and knowledge, collected from a previous Lord of the Dark Side, the family acts as stewards to the Force; their allegiance alone to the mystical essence of the galaxy.

Known as the Prefects of Darkness, the members of the Kaeth line can trace their connection with one another to remnants of the Adepts of Byss. Scholae Palatinae, or the Palace Guard, served as the ordained guardians and agents of the Reborn Emperor as he invoked his will upon the Living Force from his new seat of power upon Byss.

Even though Darth Sidious' rule was broken, several of his Adepts escaped destruction with the mighty Scholae Palatinae in tow. It would be through this faction, that an ancient lineage would be reborn and a new Circle of Stewards would rise. The knowledge of Kun would arise in the Clan of Sidious.

==Ancient Beginnings==

===Dark Lord Rising===

Appointed Dark Lord of the Sith by the spirit of Marka Ragnos, Exar Kun would forever break free of his Jedi teachings to create an immense army of Dark Siders. With his Apprentice, Ulic Qel-Droma, whom had also been appointed by Rangos, the duo began a pronged assault on the galaxy starting at Ossus. There, with the aid of an ancient Sith holocron, the Dark Lord was capable of corrupting the Jedi Knights and young padawans - converting them to the Dark Side. Under his influence, he commanded the newfound army to seek out and kill their Masters. Kun's strategy was to weaken and destabilitize the Jedi Order; crippling the Republic in the process.

It was during this time that many Force-users came to be under the banner of Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma. Most prominent amongst those whom converted, or served, were those of Brotherhood of the Sith - a group of Jedi Knights whom broke away from the Jedi Order to study Sith teachings. In addition, the mystical Order of the Krath, from the Empress Teta System, would soon work their way into the ranks of those whom served the new Dark Lord of the Sith; with them, they brought many ancient artifacts and texts from the planet of Onderon. These vessels of the Dark Side would not only bolster the ranks of Exar Kun's military might, but ensure the legacy of his Empire.

Despite his ability to manipulate his peers, claim the holocron of Odan-Urr, create the first double-bladed lightsaber and master ancient techniques of the Sith - chief amongst those techniques the legendary Sith Alchemy - Exar Kun was unable to forsee the eventual redemption of his Apprentice. During the raid on Ossus, Ulic was forced to slay his own brother Cay Qel-Droma. The shock of such an act shook the Dark Side's hold on the man and, in his momentary weakness, he was stripped of the Force permanently. Eventually, he would redeem himself by leading the Republic's forces to the planet of Yavin 4 where Exar Kun would finally be contained from the remainder of the galaxy.

Gambling, using an ancient technique, Exar Kun drained the life from the entire enslaved peoples, known as the Massassi, and drew the power in on himself. His body was lost as his power transcended the physical plain, as he sought to escape an approaching Republic Task Force sent to destroy him. Nomi Sunrider, a prominent antagonist of Exar Kun, discerned what the Dark Lord was attempting and created a Wall of Light about the planet that would forever bind him to a dark, cold temple within Yavin 4's dense jungles. Allowing him to lurk, with his power intact, for many years.

Though Ulic had been annointed the Apprentice of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Exar Kun had many other tools, or individuals, of the Dark Side at his disposal. By manipulating both the Brotherhood of the Sith and the Krath of the Empress Teta System, he was able to create a Legion of minions to do his bidding and execute his will. Of these, the original twenty whom formed the Brotherhood would be tasked with many important tasks.

After the initial Jedi Knights were trained upon the surface of Yavin 4 at the hands of Kun himself, they were sent out to locate and destroy their Masters. Largely, the task was successful and it sowed further distress and fear amongst those in the Jedi Order. Those whom did not succeed in their task were dismissed, slain or fearful of the new Dark Lord's wrath. For those whom found success in slaying a Master, Kun embraced as his own, indoctrinating them as his Adepts: Stewards of the Dark Lord of the Sith. They would act at his discretion, included in his council and direct pupils of his awe inspiring power and the lost techniques of the Sith.

The loss of Masters and the disarray the Jedi Order was tossed into only enabled Kun to bring more of the Order to his side in a stirring, emotional speech upon the surface of Ossus. Fearful that the Jedi Order had lost its power, or discarded powerful techniques, they sought out the Dark Lord. These new initiates would, however, need instruction and mentorship; thus, Kun tasked his most powerful Adepts to the task. Allowing them to indoctrinate the ever increasing numbers of the Brotherhood of the Sith. Kun dismissed the legitimacy of their power, knowing that he could overcome any coup that might form through the academy. Instead, he directed their training and studies to those appropriate for warriors and field commanders; as he would utilize this new force of acolytes in his ever expanding army.

The Prefects, or Chosen Stewards, could feel an enormous wave of Dark Side energy sweep over the planet, draining the life force of those unable to shield themselves. The Adepts were caught up in the ecstacy of their Master's power and were soon lost in the tide of energy expanding outward before they clashed against a mighty wall of light. The connection between Exar Kun and the Adepts was broken, allowing them their consciousness to return to their mortal bodies.

Many would be caught in a systematic search of the dense jungles; however, one would escape to the planet of Korriban to establish a new Academy. A second would shake lose of the Light Side snare and escape to a desolate planet known as Ambria where he would encounter a Gen'dai whom he would impart his knowledge on.

===Parlon Kaeth===

A Gen'dai named Parlon Kaeth would assume the mantle, and teachings, of the Prefects of Darkness, forging himself into a powerful Dark Side Master. As the de facto Heir of the knowledge of Exar Kun, he would become a mighty vessel of power, yet he would not seek to claim the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith as his own. Though his mentor, one of the two former Kunian Adepts, had sought to instruct him on the nature of the Force, he had never prepared his pupil what to do when he had harnessed his full potential.

For nearly a millenium, the Gen'dai would prey upon Ambria and its few scant settlers. At times he would interact with the populace, hoping a Force-sensitive individual would present themselves as a prospective pupil for his knowledge. Other days, he would scout the varying civilians before sneaking back under the veil of night to steal away people for experimental Sith Alchemy. Though his final interaction came in the twilight of his life, when he openly challenged a small encampment, slaying the entire populace: men, women and children. After this display of power, he would retreat into the wilds to prepare his knowledge for the next of his lineage - the next Steward.

Relying on tidbits of stories and remnants of what his Mentor had shared with him, Kaeth discerned that he, like his Master, would serve the ebb of the Dark Side; he would act as a steward of the terrible powers he possessed until one whom was worthy stepped forward to claim the mantle. With this task in mind, the Gen'dai used powerful nexuses of energy to craft a holocron in which he could store his infinite theories and techniques. And, for seven years, he filled the holocron with second-hand instruction from Exar Kun. Often he included his own discoveries and thoughts, in hopes of furthering the mind of a would-be Lord of the Sith or a Steward whom would serve the will of the Force.

In the final days of his life, expiring from the toll of time upon his ancient body, Kaeth would stylize a hidden chamber, with a lock requiring the touch of a Dark Sider. In the small vault he placed his most beloved items: A robe inscribed with Sith runes, his lightsaber and the Holocron of Kaeth. Not wishing to be far from his beloved possessions, the Gen'dai meditated nearby until his presence was swept away, as it had begun, by the Force.

The spirit of Exar Kun came to four men - Khan, Jonaleth, Khaland & Vithril - aboard a small shuttle escaping from the Emperor's Hammer as they skirted by the planet of Yavin 4. The quartet were the last, powerful remnants of Clan Alvaak whom had decided to join the Brotherhood of Firefox upon Antei.

The three-demensional shadow of inky darkness coalesced into a solid form before them. Any remaining vestiges of the Light Side were burnt away, replaced with the power of Kun as he addressed those whom would serve his will. He addressed them, appointing them as his Acolytes and giving them the knowledge and power to succeed. In addition to the prestigious title of Kunar, meaning "Of Kun", he declared them Heirs to his legacy. Then, as suddenly as the power enthralled them it disappeared as the shuttle broke from the gravitational pull of Yavin 4.

Khan embraced the power that had been granted unto him, taking the trio of individuals before the Iron Throne and pleading their case. The quartet was granted the power to create a new Clan: Exar Kun. With the power bestowed upon them by the former Dark Lord, they began to shape and mold the minds of a new generation to serve their will; just as Kun had done with the Brotherhood of the Sith. Much of the powerful knowledge would be passed on by Dark Adept Jonaleth Isradia to his trusted aide, and heir, Braecen. Yet, the secrets contained in an Elders mind are known to shatter the minds of lesser Equites and such was the case when the Patriarch of the Isradias bequeathed his knowledge upon the then Krath Priest.

Unable to control the power, Braecen was driven mad. Sadly, Khan declared the man a Kunar; though, only on the basis he contained the secret knowledge. Shortly thereafter the Krath set off for Yavin 4, hoping the Spirit of Kun would come to him as it had his predecessors. Unfortunately, the spirit had been vanquished by the students of Luke Skywalker's Praxeum years earlier... leaving the Corellian to search through the rubble for answers to his questions.

===A Young Man's Fate===

Braecen would return to the Brotherhood a willing insturment of the Dark Side, but far from his true potential. However, under the tutelage of Jonaleth Isradia and Chi Long, the Corellian would once again find himself capable of navigating the dangerous waters of the Brotherhood politics. Quickly, he would ascend and fall several times before he would finally find peace in Clan Scholae Palatinae - another Clan with ties to a Dark Lord of the Sith.

It would be here, as a Consul, that Braecen would travel to the planet of Ambria and discover the long lost cache of goods hidden by the Gen'dai, Parlon Kaeth. It was during this quest that Braecen, personally, let go of his ties to the Clans of the Brotherhood, becoming the next in a line of stewards destined to assist the Dark Lord of the Sith. Eagerly, he drank in the knowledge granted to Parlon by his namesake Exar Kun. The power, given in measured doses by the holocron's entity, Parlon himself, instilled the Krath with the terrifying knowledge that he would serve as it's pupil for many years to come before he learned all of it's secrets.

But first, before it would grant him all of its secrets, he would have to take the oath of a Prefect of Darkness; he would become a Kaeth. Without hesitation, Braecen leapt at the opportunity to learn from a Sith Lord of Old, knowing he would be destined, or commissioned, as a Servant of Dark Lords for all eternity. For weeks the Krath communed with the holocron until it became apparent that one man would not be enough to empower a new Empire, under the Grand Masters of Antei, to bring about Order for a new Darth. For nearly a millenium, the Gen'dai would prey upon Ambria and its few scant settlers. At times he would interact with the populace, hoping a Force-sensitive individual would present themselves as a prospective pupil for his knowledge. Other days, he would scout the varying civilians before sneaking back under the veil of night to steal away people for experimental Sith Alchemy. Though his final interaction came in the twilight of his life, when he openly challenged a small encampment, slaying the entire populace: men, women and children. The Scholae Palatinae Imperial Knights are an Order of Force-Users whom have sworn their fealty to the Emperor of the Cocytus System and, thus, to Clan Scholae Palatinae. Trained in the ways of the Force, and proficient in the Art of War, they have sworn to safeguard the Emperor, or Consul, and uphold the values of the Clan. However, their dedication comes at a cost... they have forgone the Will of the Force to ensure the prosperity of the Clan they serve.

==History==

===Everything Has A Beginning===

In the era between the Sixth and Seventh Great Jedi War, during the reign of Braecen Kunar & Phoenix Olkyssagh Palpatine, the Order of Imperial Knights was established. Consul Emeritus, and Tyrant, Dakari the Merciless came before the convened Clan Summit seeking for a new avenue of service unto the Royal Clan. While the Force had drawn him away from the duties as Emperor, and Consul, he still found a longing to be in the service of the Clan he had directed for so long.

"Noble Leaders," the Sith's voice thundered, "give me the chance to collect the brightest, and most able, of warriors to ensure the safety of our Clan. Allow me to create a division of soldiers that are not only tasked with safeguarding the leaders, but can act as an extension of your will." He bowed deeply and, in hushed tones, whispered the last part for their ears alone. "Give me the authority to empower those whom are sworn to the Tradition, Heritage and Prosperity of this Clan."

And, on the third month of the twenty sixth year after the Battle of Yavin, the Scholae Palatinae's Order of Imperial Knights was born under Commander of the Guard, Praefectus Dakari.

===An Order Expanded===

In the months preceding the Seventh Great Jedi War, Braecen Kunar opened the halls of the Imperial Knights to accept new recruits whom would, eventually, shape the progression of the Order. Under the careful, scrutinizing eyes of the Commander of the Guard, Dakari, the First of the Order was selected. Appointed as the General of the Praetorian Regiment and Lord of the Emperor's Children - a Legion of Scholae Palatinae - was the Obelisk Xan Kaeth. Selected not only for his proficiency with the lightsaber, but his tenacity and loyalty to the Clan... he was the first of a forthcoming age of a warrior-leader prototypes whom would define Scholae Palatinae in the Seventh Great Jedi War.

The Emperor then addressed the Clan. "To those whom wish to place themselves in the service of our Noble Clan, I challenge you..." His voiced trailed off before picking up momentum, "Not only will you swear absolute fealty to the Clan, but you will act under the direct supervision of the Commander of the Guard, Grand Marshall and Emperor. Should you wish to join... use the forthcoming conflict to prove your mettle!"

==Overview==

Much of the Order's depth and content is shrouded in secrecy, hidden by the members and known associates of the Imperial Knights. Yet, some aspects of their culture is known to the general populace and available via the Clan archives.

===Loyalty to the Emperor===

As the Emperor, the acting Consul, is tasked with the prosperity and development of the Clan, the Imperial Knights swear their fealty to the leige. Through their service to him they ensure the Clan will continue to grow and prosper as no external threat may befall upon the Lord of the Cocytus System. When a Consul resigns and a new one elected, the Imperial Knights will be asked - once more - to renew their fealty to the current, residing liege.

Should one retire, or remove himself, from the Order, a punishment will be issued by the acting Grand Marshall. Most generally, the punishment is lashings - a crude form of capital punishment.

===Acceptance and Training===

Formal invitations to the Imperial Knights are not given. Instead, it is assumed that a member whom is wholly devoted to Clan Scholae Palatinae will request to join the Order. It is, at this time, that their physical and mental characteristics are tested: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma.

For an entire year they will be subject to the training of the Order. In this time they will foster their innate loyalty to the Clan through their duty and service to the Emperor. For each member to be effective they must be trained in armed and unarmed combat of varying styles from across the galaxy. With this extensive training, they can readily identify an opposing foe's strengths and weaknesses, as well as their own.

At the conclusion of their training, Imperial Knight Inductees are sent to test their courage in battle. Generally, the Emperor assigns them to the field - as an Officer in the Legions - to demonstrate their skill and proficiency. Should one serve admirably, they will be elevated within the Order and, possibly, be given a new assignment.

===Forms of Service===

The Order of Imperial Knights is used at the discretion of the Emperor. Their talents ranged from assassination, security, secret attacks, and other machinations of the Emperor, Grand Marshall or Commander of the Guard. Additionally, they were assigned within the Legions of Scholae Palatinae to keep unit morale high, executing special orders and missions... or the warriors were assigned to safeguarding key locations within the Clan's Domain.

Only the Emperor knows every mission assigned within the Order. And he was never seen without a duo of guards at his side - in hearing range - to execute his will or die to protect him.

Those whom are in the highest service of the Imperial Order will be entrusted with safeguarding the Leaders of Scholae Palatinae. Assigned to the mission of ensuring the personal safety of the Emperoror, and those whom he wishes guarded, these warriors are always in the presence of their charge.

The elite of tactics and defense, these soldiers would be tasked with safeguarding the Emperor during his travels. Often, they are sent before the Leader to secure the area and establish a multi-layered network of security and defense of the palace and other areas of import to the Emperor.

For those whom are not tasked with the direct supervision of safety or security, the Emperor will assign the soldier to a position of command within the Legions of Scholae Palatinae. While a vast contingent of materials are provided to those whom serve the Emperor, two items stand apart from the rest: armor and lightsaber. These two prestigious signifiers of Imperial Knighthood reflect one's skill, service and loyalty to Clan Scholae Palatinae.

===The Armor===

Crafted in the same model as those of the original Senate Guard, then those of the Emperor's Royal Guard - of Darth Sidious - during the Galactic Empire, these were neither purple or red, but black. The Clan symbol - a dragon wrapped about a sword, centered over a sun - is located on the left shoulder pad and right guantlet - each cast in gold. The gauntlet, composed of pure cortosis (Not approved for DB use), rendered any lightsaber blade that touched it useless for several moments. The black, flexible material that made up the additional armor was reminiscent of the ribbed, multi-ply material that Darth Vader once wore under his armor. Additionally, these warriors are afforded a cloak of black silk bordered with a red trim.

===The Lightsaber===

Upon induction into the Scholae Palatinae Order of Imperial Knights, the member is given a custom lightsaber hilt composed of some of the most valuable materials in the galaxy: Phrikk Alloy, Novaes, high-grade Lens & Emitters. The standardized hilts - crafted under the direct supervision of the Emperor - also cast a silver, or white, hued blade.

Stationed on the planet of [[Judecca]], the [[Clan Scholae Palatinae|Scholae Palatinae]] Elite Regiment is one of three posts of the Royal Clan. Established during the rule of Emperor Braecen, the Regiment is under the strict command and supervision of the current Clan Consul - The Emperor - a military backing to enforce the Emperor's control on the planet and surrounding space within the [[Cocytus System]].

These units can mobilize and react to any uprisings or conflicts within the immediate area of Judecca. Easily deployable from their position, the Diamond Fortress, these advanced soldiers generally are roused into action when the Clan Summit, the Leaders of Clan Scholae Palatinae, are on the march. These soldiers are not employed to police the general populace, but often maintain a sense of Imperial pride and rigidity.

Command has been entrusted to the Imperial Knight, and General, Xan Kaeth. He reports directly to the Consul and Proconsul on the progression of the Regiment, utilizing the commanding officers below him to operate the day-to-day administration of the Elite Soliders. Under the scrutiny of High Admiral Thran Occasus - Ace Pilot of Scholae Palatinae - the Scholae Palatinae Corps were established at the end of Dakari's reign as Consul, before being finalized under the rule of Braecen Kunar.

It was at the request of then Qauestor of Caliburnus - Thran - to establish a more legitimate organization within the Clan's Naval Fleet. In addition to his restructuring of the Clan Fleet into two Battle Groups - Rancor Horde & Starstealer Flotilla - he went about coordinating future starfighter efforts. With the assistance of Dakari, a Consul Emeritus, the two divined assignments for each squadron into the corresponding Wings that create the sum total of the Corps.

As the heirarchy stands, the High Admiral is included in all strategums and Battle Plans that include the use of starfighter elements. The technical expertise and deft understanding of each ship and their outcome on the course of a battle gives them a vast amount of control on the outcome of the planning phase. Additionally, when present in battle, the Senior Officer can override direct orders of all personnel - excluding the Emperor, Grand Marshall and Fleet Commander - if a tactical discrepancy is recognized.

With a new sense of structure and ability to defer to a direct Chain of Command, the fighter element of Clan Scholae Palatinae has begun to surge forward into a lethal addition of military prowess. The new formation has yet to engage in direct combat, but the smaller force of ships was able to navigate through the Rites of Supremacy: Second Darkness with devastating skill and proficiency to claim Third Overall in their simulated engagements.

Under the wisdom of Emperor Dakari, the Legions were re-activated during the Sixth Great Jedi War. A move meant to help counter the Clan's sudden spiral into the sixth, and final, placing amongst the Clans. With, then Grand Marshall, Braecen Kunar's assistance, Dakari was able to organize his military force into a fast moving, easy to deploy unit that helped the ailing Clan surge from oblivion into an honorable Fourth Overall finish.

The soldiers of The Emperor's Children were hand picked at the conclusion of the Sixth Great Jedi War under the careful scrutiny of, then Grand Marshall, Braecen Kunar. A gift from Emperor Palpatine unto his Palace Guard - Scholae Palatinae - the Stormtroopers were a power to be reckoned with; utilized as defenders of Byss & the military might of the Dark Lord. When the Reborn Dark Lord of the Sith was slain a second time, Byss shattered in the process, the Palace Guard extracted itself, taking the valuable military Legions in their Exodus.

Under the wisdom of Emperor Dakari, the Legions were re-activated during the Sixth Great Jedi War. A move meant to help counter the Clan's sudden spiral into the sixth, and final, placing amongst the Clans. With, then Grand Marshall, Braecen Kunar's assistance, Dakari was able to organize his military force into a fast moving, easy to deploy unit that helped the ailing Clan surge from oblivion into an honorable Fourth Overall finish.

The soldiers of The Death Reaper Legion were a crucial element in the defense of the Red Faction's defense of Judecca - homeworld of the Clan, removed from the territories of the Brotherhood. The Legions of Scholae Palatinae, the armed forces of the Clan, are the most advanced soldiers of the Cocytus System. The soldiers, or Stormtroopers, are created and trained in the same mold as their predecessors. Very few military powers can rival their vast experience, ability and potential in the field of battle. It is the established military prowess of these 'grunts' that have solidified Clan Scholae Palatinae's claim as one of the militant pillars of the Dark Brotherhood.

History is not entirely accurate, as the founder of the Clan has long since embarked on a journey with an end unknown, but scrolls seemingly indicate a large deposit of soldiers were granted by the Emperor Palpatine to a devoted taskforce of guardians: Scholae Palatinae (The Palace Guard). These warriors were insituted to act as mystic extensions of the Dark Lord of the Sith. Additionally, they were tasked not only with executing his will, but safeguarding the Dark Lord. So, in his divine wisdom, he entrusted his Sentinels with the authority to command. With his downfall, upon the planet Byss, these soldiers swore fealty to the Clan - becoming their personal guardians... the extension of Scholae Palatinae's will.

With their departure from dark lands, they became a solidified House within the Emperor's Hammer; acting as the Guardians of the Grand Master. However, the Dark Brotherhood broke away from the oppresive Emperor's Hammer - thus, the defenders of the Grand Master sought out a new home. Making peace within the Cocytus System, on the planet Judecca, where the Armed Forces have continually added to their elements, both Soldiers and Officers. They are the military backbone of the Clan... they are the Legions of Scholae Palatinae.

The command structure, or element breakdown, of the Legions of Scholae Palatinae complies with Imperial Armed Forces criteria. With a single exception, the term battalion is instead replaced with the Royal Title of Legion. The command structure, or element breakdown, of the Scholae Palatinae Fighter Corps complies with Imperial TIE Corps criteria. As such, the collective identity of the entire Clan Fighter Forces falls under the official title: Scholae Palatinae Corps.

Because the Corps is made of such a large number of starfighters, it must be organized into units, each with its own leaders and reporting structure. Each unit—whether it’s a squadron or division was created to respond to any mission, regardless of size or complexity.
