The following documentation will cover the individual fields behind writing a basic report for the [[Dark Brotherhood|Dark Jedi Brotherhood]].

While reports are expected from higher tier positions, they are not required at every level. Each Independent Unit tends to approach reports differently, with some units treating their respective positions differently. As a general rule of thumb and good habit, it is always best to check with your [[Clan]] or [[House]] [[Clan Summit|Summit]] with questions about creating and posting reports.

===Report Types===

A report is an informative piece of published documentation by a leader in the Brotherhood that aims to announce, share, and/or explain information relative to their respective position or society. Reports can be broken up into the following types:

'''Dark Council''' - Reports put out by the members of the [[Dark Council]]. These reports tend to focus on each Councilor’s area of expertise and the section of the club that they oversee.

'''Unit''' - Reports put out by the independent units that make up the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. This covers everything from entry level Battleteam Leader reports to top level Consul reports.

'''Society''' - Reports put out by society leaders that cover news and updates relative to their society (Wikipedia, [[Antei Combat Center]], etc.)

'''News''' is anything that gets published to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood’s website and appears on the main page: https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com. This means that any report that gets posted through the site administration is posted live as a newspost.

Reports are released by a leader on some kind of determined schedule cycle. For example, a report can be released bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly. Consistency is king, as the general membership relies heavily on the announcements, shared details, and explanations of changes/events to not only keep up with the changes in the club, but also to know why things are changing.

When writing a report, there are a few different tools you can use. The most popular and common one — that is available to all members and completely free — is [http://drive.google.com/ Google Docs]. Google Docs allow you to easily share your reports with your supervisors or friends to get approval, feedback, or proofreading before posting. Alternatively, you can write your report in your word processor of choice with things like Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, or even a simple Word Pad.

Since the Dark Jedi Brotherhood website leverages Markdown coding for reports and news posts, you can alternatively — or additionally — take advantage of Markdown Preview editors. This allows you to type on one side of the screen and play with code while generating a preview of how it will look when posted. The Dark Council recommends:

Formatting is the key to making your reports not only aesthetically appealing to a reader. It also makes them clear and easy to read. The more clear and concise your report is formatted, the better chance of not losing or confusing the members you want reading the report you worked so hard on!

As stated above, the website takes advantage of Markdown coding, which you can learn all about in the following Shadow Academy Exams:

For the purpose of focusing on the presentation of a report, this article will highlight the fundamental elements of Markdown that come in handy when writing a report.

==== Headers ====

Headers are important because they help break up information and create definitive starts and stops to topics throughout the report. Reports are read from top to bottom, so anytime you’re going to change subjects it is good to insert a header. The best practice with headers is to use a descending flow of sub-topics. The top heading should be the "parent" topic, something like '''Recognition'''. A sub-topic for that would be '''Promotions''', since Promotions are a kind of recognition, similar to '''Awards'''.

Headers are handled by using a different count of pound (#) signs.

Kindle possesses dark red scales that coat his tall, muscular frame. He has a slightly more humanoid-shaped head, though still larger than a human's, that is fairly distinctive due to his hybrid biology with golden-colored reptilian eyes, and while he lacks any actual hair, he does have a number of thick tendrils that drape from the back of his head, thanks to his Feeorin heritage, as well as a long, thick reptilian tail that drags behind him due to his Barabel blood.

Regarding his attire, the vast majority of people who interact with Kindle can confirm that the man operates with practically only three outfits.

The first, and the most common, is his custom Mandalorian Beskar Armor. The armor, helmet and body glove has been colored matte black as a base, then deep red applied over the armor and helmet in a scale pattern, allowing the black to peek through in thin lines. The helmet has been altered to fit a larger skull, perfectly split with the ability to secure to the wearer's lower jaw and open when they speak when adjusted, the visor given two illuminated golden eyes added to the sides. Additional matte black pieces have been grafted onto the toes of the boots and fingers of the gauntlets, carved in the shape of claws, and two more atop the helmet, starting just above the visor and sweeping backwards to the left and right, stylized as horns. The right pauldron of the armor has been imprinted with the emblem of the Sith and marked upon the left is the symbol of Clan Vizsla.

His second outfit are his Brotherhood Robes, typically some form of Sith armor and cloak.

The last is his more casual wear, typically a simple black cloth sleeveless shirt and pants, both loose fitting on his large frame.

Regardless of which of the three he is wearing, Kindle always wears his family heirloom; three Durgolosk fangs attached to a silver metal chain link necklace. The last thing he has from his parents, it is a grand trophy within the Barabel culture and speaks to the extremely impressive accomplishment of slaying the great beasts as well as the raised status one receives for such a glorious feat.

Volcanic again best describes Kindle's personality summarized; those who do not know him well or have not been around him in certain situations see a mountain of a man, strong, willful, stubborn, stoic, and protective, but those who have been in the right place at the right time know that a great fire burns within him, direct, passionate, aggressive, loyal, and wrathful. The great divide between these two drastically different sides is easily summed up in two words; patience and control.

Annoyances bother the man, but he is well versed in letting them not get to him. Decades of building patience in dealing with frustrating people, from aggressive insults to snide comments, and chaotic situations out of his control has tempered his rage to a fine point. Determination keeps the Hybrid focused, his goal-oriented mind closing out distractions when needed, he is very good at not letting much get to him the majority of the time, even more so when others are relying on him.

But every soul has a weakness, and unfortunately his is a common one - his attachments to others. Whether friends or simply Clan-mates that have proven themselves, Kindle will prioritize defending those he views as worthy, and go out of his way to utterly crush those who would seek to harm them with a fury that burns intensely.

In stark contrast, however, the Hybrid's patience is remarkably volatile with machinery. If something accomplishes its task as directed and within the time frame that is originally estimated, he has no problem with them, but if a computer can't run a program properly that it should be able to or a task was estimated to take 5 minutes ends up taking a half hour, his more aggravated side presents itself far faster than it normally would with a living creature.

Kindle possesses dark red scales that coat his tall, muscular frame. He has a slightly more humanoid-shaped head, though still larger than a human's, that is fairly distinctive due to his hybrid biology with golden-colored reptilian eyes, and while he lacks any actual hair, he does have a number of thick tendrils that drape from the back of his head, thanks to his Feeorin heritage, as well as a long, thick reptilian tail that drags behind him due to his Barabel blood.

Regarding his attire, the vast majority of people who interact with Kindle can confirm that the man operates with practically only three outfits.

The first, and the most common, is his custom Mandalorian Beskar Armor. The armor, helmet and body glove has been colored matte black as a base, then deep red applied over the armor and helmet in a scale pattern, allowing the black to peek through in thin lines. The helmet has been altered to fit a larger skull, perfectly split with the ability to secure to the wearer's lower jaw and open when they speak when adjusted, the visor given two illuminated golden eyes added to the sides. Additional matte black pieces have been grafted onto the toes of the boots and fingers of the gauntlets, carved in the shape of claws, and two more atop the helmet, starting just above the visor and sweeping backwards to the left and right, stylized as horns. The right pauldron of the armor has been imprinted with the emblem of the Sith and marked upon the left is the symbol of Clan Vizsla.

His second outfit are his Brotherhood Robes, typically some form of Sith armor and cloak.

The last is his more casual wear, typically a simple black cloth sleeveless shirt and pants, both loose fitting on his large frame.

=== Speech and Mannerisms ===
As the majority of his long life was spent in silence, Kindle comes off more quiet than one might expect, especially given the brashness of both of his mixed species. When he does speak, it is often thought-through and confident if it is on something that he knows well, or cautious and inquiring if it is a subject he is not - the man cares not for pride when there is something he acknowledges he doesn't know or that someone else may know better. Due to Basic being not only his third language, but also one he didn't speak often for a long time, he does occasionally mix up his words every now and again.

Kindle's body language is best described as volcanic in nature; firm and rigid when standing still, but capable of high energy movement when needed. Due to a long, rough life, he rarely sits down even when alone if he is working on something. His steps are heavy, an acknowledgement that with his frame stealth is rarely to be bothered with, his gazes are direct and unflinching, and he presents a very grounded front physically, reassuring to allies, but immovable to enemies. The Hybrid's tendencies towards being direct are visible in both speech and body.

Of course this is somewhat relaxed when in more casual environments, the warrior far more willing to sit around friends and comrades when not working on anything in particular, a boisterous side to him exposing itself. Kindle, for all his seriousness when the time comes to it, knows to relax when the time does not - enjoying good food and drinks, even on occasion indulging in teasing others, his speech becoming less direct and more personal.

Volcanic again best describes Kindle's personality summarized; those who do not know him well or have not been around him in certain situations see a mountain of a man, strong, willful, stubborn, stoic, and protective, but those who have been in the right place at the right time know that a great fire burns within him, direct, passionate, aggressive, loyal, and wrathful. The great divide between these two drastically different sides is easily summed up in two words; patience and control.

Annoyances bother the man, but he is well versed in letting them not get to him. Decades of building patience in dealing with frustrating people, from aggressive insults to snide comments, and chaotic situations out of his control has tempered his rage to a fine point. == Retention of Title ==

Transferring to another clan will result in the removal of the title. Extreme circumstances (on a case-by-case basis) may also result in the removal of the title, but this requires consultation with the [[MAA]].

Any member who leaves Vizsla (except to Rogues/Dark Council as noted above) and then subsequently returns will have their clan credit contribution reset to zero. This is applied equally to previous title-holders as well as non title-holders - each will have to earn a fresh two million credits to (re-) earn the title.

== Behind the Scenes ==
The number of two million credits was determined by looking at various member's historical yearly contributions. Extremely productive years saw approximately 1 million clan credits earned by members through a variety of activities, and thus two years of high achieving was determined as a fair, round number that was attainable.

While the principle of the Clan Title (namely that it would be earned by a defined, impartial metric) was set out in the initial formation documents for the creation of Clan Vizsla, the actual name was only decided upon after the first title-holder reached the two million credit mark. The formation document initially suggested the title, "Mando'ad", meaning "Son/Daughter of Mandalore".

Multiple names were bandied about - some humorous ("Vizjizzles"), some serious ("Pre Vizsla") - before ''Ad Vizsla'' was finalized on the day that it was granted to Kenath Zoron.

== Revoked Titles ==
Two members have left the Ad Vizsla since the creation of Clan Vizsla. [Korvyn Elvandar|[Vynn Salm]] was awarded the Clan title after a distinguished career as a member and Consul on 26 October 2023. Vynn forfeited the title upon moving to [[Clan Scholae Palatinae]]. Socorra Tenebrosa Nhar’qual Erinos earned the title on 1 May 2025. Socorra forfeited the title upon moving to [[Clan Arcona]].
